Jim Dunlop Pyrex glass slides are preferred for full, rich tones. They sound warmer and more resonant than metal slides, producing smooth transitions with minimal string noise. Pyrex glass slides are the top choice for many acoustic players, and they're favoured by electric players who want the purist tones possible.

Choose a small, medium or large slide based on your finger size. The regular sizes refer to the inside diameter of the slide. choose regular, medium or heavy wall thickness based on the 'fatness' of the sound you want. thinner walls give faster slide response and less sustain, suitable for quick picking and complicated passages. Thicker wall give better sustain and resonance, and more suitable for high string setups.

Choose a regular length slide to cover all 6 (or 12) strings simultaneously. To slide on only 3 or 4 strings at a time, choose a short lenght slide. To slide on onlt 1 or 2 strings at a time choose a Knuckle lenght slide.
