Vandoren V12 clarinet reeds give a warm, dark sound which is bigger and more consistent than that of the traditional reed, yet without an aggressive edge.

V12 reeds are manufactured from cane tubes of the same diameter as those used for saxophone reeds, so V12 reeds are thicker and more expensive than traditional clarinet reeds. A strength 4 V12 reed is equivalent to a 3½ regular reed.
