Fender Jimmy Page 2019 Telecaster RW Natural Guitar Fender Jimmy Page 2019 Telecaster RW Natural Guitar
£1,259.00

Jimmy Page Telecaster, Rosewood Fingerboard, Natural S/N MXN01650 8.22lb A guitar which in many ways is as much as an icon as the player who used it. Out of all the guitars we have for sale at Bonners, I dont think any have a back story like the new Fender Jimmy Page Telecaster. With that in mind, I thought the best place to start was to strip the guitar right back to what it is, or at least what it was... A 1959 Fender Telecaster. 1959 was a bit of an important year for the Fender Telecaster, it was the year that Fender swapped the 1 piece Maple neck to a slab Rosewood fingerboard on a Maple neck. The guitar would have shipped out with an Ash body with a Blonde finish, a white pickguard and a top loader bridge. The Jimmy Page Telecaster stays true to this with its Ash body and slab Rosewood fingerboard. The neck shape is specifically shaped to be just like Jimmys and the pickups are perfectly wound to match his original Tele. The Myth, The Dragon The Tele was originally owned by Jeff Beck who gave it to Page in 1966 as a thank you gift for helping him out during his early career as a musician. In 1967, possibly inspired by Syd Barret of Pink Floyd, Page decided to stick 8 circular mirrors to the body of the guitar to help create a psychedelic effect when on stage and the lights were beaming on it. Within only a few months Page had grown tired of this look and decided that he would remove the mirrors as well as the Blonde finish. Once completely stripped he decided that he would paint the Tele himself loosely in the style of a Japanese Dragon. To finish his new design off he decided to replace the pickguard with a transparent acrylic one with a sheet of diffraction grating film behind it. This unique idea caused a spectrum of colour to shine from the guitar when hit with light. The Telecaster had been completely transformed into something that was much more than just a guitar. Referred by Jimmy as his Magical Guitar, it was used as his main guitar throughout 1968 and 69 live and in the studio until one of its pickups failed and it was replaced with his Les Paul. The Dragon Tele was famously taken out of retirement in 1970 for the solo of Stairway to Heaven. Shortly after, the Tele was ruined by a friend of Jimmys who thought he was doing him a favour by painting over the Dragon design. During this process, the electronics were also damaged. The famous telecaster would not be seen again until 2019 when Jimmy Page approached fender with a request to recreate the legend. Top Loader An important but often forgotten about feature of a 1959 Fender Telecaster is the Top Loader Bridge. Instead of the traditional string-through the Body design of the telecaster, the strings are instead threaded through the back of the bridge plate. This ever so slightly changes the tone of the instrument as the strings dont actually have any direct contact with the wood of the body. Many describe it as a more bright and snappy tone. With this design, the strings are also ever so slightly shortened which actually causes slightly less tension on the string. Retro Accessories Included with this psychedelic Tele is a luxurious 60s style black Tolex hard case, a bright red retro coily cable and a white vintage styled strap. All you need to finish this 60s inspired rig is an old Marshall or Supro amp cranked to 10. Part Exchange Your Guitar Looking to cash something in exchange for your Jimmy Page Telecaster? JHS Pedals Angry Charlie V3 Overdrive Effects Pedal JHS Pedals Angry Charlie V3 Overdrive Effects Pedal

JHS Pedals Angry Charlie V3 Overdrive Effects Pedal JHS initially made their name by producing some illustrious mods of existing pedals from other manufacturers. Since those early days, they began to build pedals all their own and quickly became an established and extremely highly-regarded boutique pedal builder in their own right. One of their all-time stand-out pedals, that helped establish their reputation as a builder, is the Angry Charlie Overdrive.  It is so highly respected in fact that Boss, the company who’s pedals JHS started out by modifying, recently chose the Angry Charlie as the circuit to incorporate into their 40th-anniversary pedal, the ‘Angry Driver’. This stands as a full-circle testament to the quality and respect that both JHS and the Angry Charlie have garnered in the industry. How To Hold A JCM800 In The Palm Of Your Hand The Angry Charlie lives in high-gain town. It bases its character and tonality on that of the much-beloved JCM800 from Marshall. This amplifier was the flag bearer for the blistering tone of the 1980s. The glorious, powerful, hair-metal guitar sound that echoed through that decade were more often than not the product of that historic amp and it is exactly that tone that JHS has aimed to capture in their Angry Charlie V3. The Angry Charlie possesses all the hefty bass, thick mids, characterful highs, and face-melting power that was originally present in the JCM800. It harnesses all that big, 80’s, British soul and packs it all into a small red box. What’s New In Version Three? The Angry Charlie is in its third evolution. The biggest change with the latest version comes in the form of a fifth knob. This new knob brings with it a move to a 3-band-eq functionality. Gone are the “Presence” and “Tone” controls from previous iterations.  The tone controls of old did allow you to shape the pedal for the various guitar and amp combinations but this move to a 3-band-EQ allows much finer shaping of the tone. This allows for much greater flexibility and control with the new V3 and also edges the pedal that bit closer to the Marshall amp it is so carefully paying homage to. Control Aside from the new 3-band-EQ, there are two other knobs to pay attention to. The first is a “Volume” knob. This is fairly self-explanatory, it sets the volume level of the pedal. The second is the “Drive” knob. This is essentially the gain setting, how driven the pedal is, how much distortion is present. The aforementioned EQ controls are worth mentioning too. They work on a cut/boost basis. This means that when the knobs are set at noon, they are having no effect on the sound. You can then turn them clockwise to boost the bass, mid, or treble frequency amounts up past unity. A turn anticlockwise acts to cut each of those frequencies. This allows for really powerful and intuitive tone shaping. Why Bonners? Here at Bonners Music, you have the opportunity to try one of these great JHS effects pedals yourself. Just give us a call on 01323 636141 or better still, visit our showroom! If you can't see the JHS pedal listed that you are after just call 01323 636141 for availability and the best price.

JHS Pedals Paul Gilbert PG-14 Distortion Guitar Effects Pedal Power drills at the ready, Paul Gilbert has released a signature guitar pedal with JHS. Mr Gilbert has teamed up with the good folks over at JHS pedals to create the ultimate stadium-esque drive pedal to give you huge, realistic, pushed drive tones at any volume, even without the use of half a dozen Marshall stacks. Finding The PerFET Fit The JHS Pedals PG-14! uses a FET based circuit to accurately emulate the touch, feel, and power of a pushed valve amplifier. FETs are a type of transistor which is known for being very responsive to volume and current. This responsivity means that they are extremely dynamic which in turn makes them capable of producing powerful gain tones whilst still managing to clean up beautifully. Ultimately, the utilisation of a FET based circuit allows the JHS Pedals PG-14! to behave much like a true valve amplifier. The whole ethos of the pedal is to allow you to play with lively touch and feel even whilst immersed in the lofty heights of distortion Mr Gilbert has become synonymous with. The pedals aim is to avoid becoming muddied or one-dimensional at any point. The FET based circuitry, Mr Gilbert's specifications, and JHSs wizardry allow the pedal to retain an unholy amount of articulation, control, and fidelity no matter where the gain level is set. Pull Gilberts other trick out the hat and partner it up with a mid pushing dirt pedal such as the JHS Bonsai or a Tubescreamer and unleash your lead tone into new territories of ear piercing pleasure. The Secret Sauce of Flexibility The JHS Pedals PG-14! also utilises clever placement of the mid control circuitry to allow the tonal character of the pedal to be shaped very extensively. There is an active mid-frequency preamp located just before the FET distortion circuitry. This is the key secret feature which allows the pedal to accomodate any guitar or amplifier with ease. Its a seriously clever and powerful move allowing the pedal to sit comfortably in whatever rig it may be confronted with. The mid controls placement before the drive circuitry allows for a broader and more natural array of sweep. This is coupled with the mid frequency control which allows you to zero in on the exact part of the mid frequency range you which to be manipulating. It is the culmination of both of these features which affords the pedal is dizzying flexibility. Your Very Own Portable Dirt Channel The key draw with this pedal is its authentic, amp-like drive tone. It can deliver realistic, valve amp style drive tones with ease at any volume through any rig. The mixture of authenticity and flexibility make it a truly killer drive pedal for any application.

Marshall AS50D Acoustic Amp The Marshall AS50D 50-Watt acoustic guitar combo amplifier replaces the highly successful and award winning AS50R range of amps. Marshall AS50D features a new tweeter, as well as a phantom powered microphone channel, digital chorus and reverb. With the all new Marshall AS50D you can express your emotions with passion. The Marshall AS50D offers a compact and portable 50 Watt combo amplifier specially designed for use with acoustic instruments. Between its two channels, this combo has the flexibility to handle instruments with transducers, such as piezo or magnetic pick-ups (channel 1), or microphone for either vocal or instrument reproduction channel 2). The built-in Chorus effect is assignable to either or both channels and the Reverb can be controlled and balanced between the channels to create just the right ambience. If you want to add further effects, then there is an on-board parallel effects loop which can be balanced between the channels in the same way as the Reverb. One of the most difficult aspects of amplifying some acoustic instruments is feedback. To help you eliminate this, the AS50D features several 'anti-feedback' controls, including a Phase switch and a frequency controllable Notch Filter. The combination of these two elements will give you precise control of the frequencies where feedback is likely to occur and help you to eliminate them. For clear and detailed performance, AS50D comes loaded with two 8' speakers and a high fidelity polymer dome tweeter. There is also an internal limiter which allows you to push the maximum level from the 50 Watt output, whilst remaining distortion free. Neat and compact, flexible and portable, Marshall AS50D is the ideal amplifier for the acoustic player who wants a system as suitable for small gigs as it is at home.Due to the technical nature of the products advertised on this page it is highly recommended that you contact us by telephone or by coming into our store to discuss your particular requirements and to arrange a demonstration before buying any of these products. Marshall DSL5CR Guitar Combo Amp The latest version of the Marshall DSL Dual Super Lead Guitar amp range, launched for Winter NAMM show 2018, features the following: Adjustable power output The new Marshall DSL models feature adjustable power settings which provide all-valve tone at appropriate volumes for the bedroom to the stage. Unlike traditional power settings, the technology on the larger DSL models reshapes the power to the valves instead of turning off valve stages. This gives you the best all-valve tone at both low power or full power. Some careful tweaks to the EQ circuitry have moderated the overly bass-heavy sounds that some previous DSL models had out of the box. Don’t worry - you can dial it back in with the EQ should you wish. Our partnership with Softube® has led to award-winning plug-ins and exceptional tone in our CODE digital amps. This same partnership is behind the new emulated output feature. Both the headphones and line out on the DSL models benefit from accurate emulation of our famed 1960 cabinet. The DSL is now more versatile than ever, with new features including separate master volume controls, built-in reverb and resonance controls*. Marshall JVM210H Valve Guitar Amp Head Designed to complement the versatility, tone and power of the awesome four-channel Marshall JVM4s™, the Marshall JVM2 Series broadens the JVM™ range without compromising its incredible sonic spectrum. With more configuration options than the JVM4, and a more streamlined front panel, the Marshall JVM2™ strikes a balance between flexible features and user friendliness, as well as offering 50 Watt options for guitarist who prefer the sound and feel of a lower Watt amp. This British-built 100 Watt Marshall JVM210H™ head offers a more straightforward two channel preamp, Clean/Crunch and Overdrive, than the JVM410H™ four channels, for guitarists who prefer a more stripped down, ‘fewer frills’ approach. The two independent channels both have three modes. Each mode reconfigures the gain structure of each channel, making six modes in total, which can take you from ‘Plexi’/JTM45™ cleans through JCM800™ punch to modern high-gain tones. The JVM210H is equipped with the same groundbreaking technology as its big brother, the JVM410H, featuring two studio quality Reverbs (one per channel), with individual channel EQ, two Master Volumes, and a memory that will recall your Reverb, FX Loop and Master settings. The JVM210H uses Stompware® switching technology and comes supplied with a fully programmable, four-button footswitch which connects to the amp using a standard guitar lead, so you’re not restricted by stage size – and if your cable fails, it’s very easy to replace.
