Description

Fender Vintera 60s Stratocaster Pau Ferro Ice Blue Metallic

I would place money on it that if you asked guitarists to describe a Strat the example that they would give would be based off a 60s model. Alder body, Rosewood fingerboard, small headstock, spaghetti logo and 3 single coil pickups. The new Vintera 60s Stratocaster is Fenders latest attempt of making an authentic replica of the iconic Stratocaster guitar without busting peoples bank. The Pau Ferro fingerboard perfectly captures the vibe and tone of the old Rosewood boards and the Poly finish does a great job in reproducing the classic colours of the 60s.

If you want a Strat that can give you awesome tones and a classic vintage 60's feel, this is it! The revoiced pickups really help the guitar sing. SRV to Mayer, Frusciante to Knopfler and so many more, you've got it covered.

Simon Piggott - Bonners Guitar Specialist

Glassy tone
The glassy, bell like Strat tone produced by such guitarists as Jimi Hendrix, John Mayer, Stevie Ray Vaughan and John Frusciante is one of the most desired tones that electric guitarists seek. The thing that each of these guitarists have in common is a 60s Stratocaster and the beating heart of that guitar is of course the pickups. Fender knew that when designing the new Vintera range of guitars they would have to get the pickups right. They of course got pickup wizard Tim Shaw on the case. He spent months listening and dissecting real pickups from the 60s to ensure that the ones he designed for the new Fender Vintera 60s Stratocaster were the most accurate yet.

Vintage C
The mid 60s C shape Fender neck shape is the perfect neck shape for those who want something that’s big enough that they can actually hold onto, yet still small enough that they can easily shred down the neck. The all-rounder neck, smaller than a V shape yet bigger than the modern C profile. In keeping with authenticity the neck comes with a 7.25” fingerboard radius and vintage style frets. The headstock features the spaghetti logo and Kluson style tuners. And the body of course comes with a vintage style 6 point tremolo with rolled saddles and a mint green pickguard.

Workhorse
A classic in every way, designed for every type of player, for every type of show and every type of recording session. The 2019 Vintera 60s Stratocaster truly takes from where the old 60s Classic Strat left off and takes us one step closer to an Original Pre CBS 60s Strat without the price tag. A guitar built to inspire and built to last.

Start owning the musical instrument you want now, today!

If you're set on buying your new instrument, there's no need to get weighed down by the total cost of it straight away. How To Apply For Finance

How it works

The finance options available are displayed on the individual product pages.

Finance is available for selected new and used instruments.

Which Finance Options Are Available?

We say: "An absolute workhorse, ready for anything you throw at it. The Olympic white body partners up beautifully with the satin maple neck. A bass for life." Myke Edwards - Bonners Guitar and Bass Specialist First introduced in 1960, the Fender Jazz Bass offered more tonal options than its predecessors. The addition of a narrow nut width also made this bass more comfortable to play, ensuring its immediate success. One of the Jazz Bass's greatest exponents was Jaco Pastorius, the only electric bassist ever inducted into the Jazz Hall of Fame. The Fender American Professional Jazz Bass features an alder body which produces a warm, balanced tone. With an offset waist, the styling is classic yet still feels fresh proving that great design never feels dated. The Olympic White polyurethane finish is durable and works perfectly with the three-ply mint green pickguard. Fender has included Posiflex graphite rods in the neck, which massively increase stability and reduce movement caused by environmental changes, enabling you to play with confidence wherever you find yourself. The all-maple neck has a modern "C" profile which is slim and comfortable and a 9.5-inch fretboard radius with narrow-tall frets makes fast runs feel effortless. Another key feature on this bass is the V-Mod pickups that incorporate Alnico 5-pole pieces for the treble side and Alnico 2 on the bass side. These increase consistent response across all the strings while maintaining the essence of Fender's legendary tone. The addition of a solid bone nut with all new fluted-shaft machine heads ensure tuning stability and increased sustain. Whether touring, recording or playing for pleasure the Fender American Professional Jazz Bass is the perfect choice for anyone who wishes to focus on the music, confident that their instrument is the best it can be. Speedy, powerful and articulate, the Fender Jazz Bass quickly carved out a niche for itself when it was released in 1960. The slim, ultra-fast neck and slick offset-waist styling made it a favorite of bassists everywhere. Funk, fusion, disco and, of course, modern rock all owe a life debt to the fantastically versatile Jazz Bass. Developed by pickup master Michael Bump, the brand-new V-Mod single-coil Fender Jazz Bass pickups use a carefully selected blend of alnico magnet types for balanced tone with authentic Fender sonic DNA. Designed for comfort and performance, the slim modern “C”-shaped neck profile feels just right nestled in your hand, becoming one with you, while the narrow-tall frets provide a familiar playing feel and perfect intonation. Posiflex™ graphite support rods run the length of the neck, adding stability to the neck while resisting warping. Fender Vintera 50s Stratocaster Modified Daphne Blue The 50s Modified Stratocaster is another guitar in the new 2019 Vintera range of instruments from Fender. It takes from where the Custom Shop designed Classic Player series left off and takes the Strat even closer to a perfect hybrid of 50s aesthetics with modern playability. With a 2 point tremolo system for increased tuning stability, locking vintage style tuners and a modern C shape neck profile with medium jumbo frets, could this be the most versatile Strat ever made? The really comfortable C shaped neck with the slightly flatter fingerboard makes playing chords and licks so easy and fun. Along with the S1 switching I now can play a Strat with all three hotter voiced pickups on at once! Love it. Myke Edwards - Bonners Guitar Specialist S-1 switching I really love how they have done the S-1 switch on the new Vintera 50s Stratocaster Modified. It simply allows you to add the neck pick up to position 1 (bridge pickup) or position 2 (bridge and middle). What this means is that in position 1 you can basically turn your Strat into the middle position of a Tele and in position 2 you actually have all 3 pickups on at once. A really nice way to add a few new usable tones to an otherwise classic setup. Hot pickups Most guitarists will agree that the bell like characteristic of a 50s Stratocaster is one of the sweetest sounding electric guitar tones on the planet. With that said, it is not always the most usable pickup for use with more modern genres of music. The lower output of these pickups will not push amplifiers into natural compression for a percussive clean tone, nor will it push an overdriven amp into high gain territory. Fender gave legendary pickup designer Tim Shaw the challenge of creating a 50s Strat pickup that retains its bell like quality but hits the amp hard enough to produce these modern tones. Of course, after months of research he accomplished the goal and came up with the new Vintage-Style 50s Single-Coil Hot Strat pickup. The perfect pickup for a guitarist that wants just 1 Strat to do everything without needing an army of effect pedals. Modern C As much as I love a V shaped neck profile, I do find it difficult to fully let rip or play extended chords that stretch over 4 frets. In keeping with the idea of making the most versatile 50s Strat Fender has added the ever popular modern C shape neck profile to the Vintera 50s modified Strat. The 9.5” fingerboard radius and medium jumbo frets also ensure that string bends ring out as true as they can and makes vibrato, even with heavier strings feel as smooth as possible. Ibanez AZ224F BIG Iceberg Gradiation Electric Guitar Part of their 2018 collection, the Ibanez AZ224F Blue Iceberg Gradation is a real workhorse with the versatility and playability to deliver a sensational sound in virtually any genre. A fusion of modern technology and Japanese craftsmanship, this is such a super-playable all-rounder that you'll think you've picked up a guitar twice the price. And that gradiated blue finish really stands out - especially if you get up close and personal to see the natural grain of the maple top shine through. Getting 10 truly authentic and distinct sounds out of a guitar which looks and feels equal parts pure vintage and space-age is what made Ibanez' new-award-winning-AZ series such a show stopper at the NAMM show in 2018. This guitar exemplifies everything that made that range so exciting. A few key highlights for me are the roasted maple neck, the new-and exclusive to this range-Seymour Duncan Hyperion pickups, and, of course, the hugely expressive switching system: Not to mention the really beautiful gradient finish that is reminiscent of a top-down view of crystal clear waters lapping onto the shore of a Greek island. Dan Mole - Bonners Guitar Specialist Understated design with a luxurious feel Perhaps not as showy as other Ibanez guitars like the RG series, the AZ range have a more restrained, low-key look. The ergonomic design and "super all-access neck joint" enhance comfort and playability while the retro headstock design, chrome hardware and that striking gradiated blue colour give it a precise, classy finish. The wide "oval-C" neck with jumbo stainless steel frets make bending and vibrato feel easy; the neck and fretboard are in heat-treated maple for a rich sustain and finished with a smooth curve for superior comfort for your fretting hand. We should also note those inlaid luminescent side dots so you can see what you're playing in a dark gig - or at home with the lights off if you prefer! A huge range of tone options The three Seymour Duncan Hyperion pickups - exclusive to Ibanez - working in combination with the dyna-MIX 9 switching system give a huge range of tone options, allowing you to switch between humbucker and single coil modes in a single switch when you want to change things up quickly. Ibanez have partnered with Gotoh not only on the T1502 tremolo bridge, which gives you great range while staying in tune, but also on the chrome MAGNUM LOCK machine heads with height adjustable post - that allows you to adjust string posts so you can get exactly the right tension for each string. In short, you can play harder for longer and still stay in tune. Part Exchange Your Guitar We buy used guitars for cash or as part exchange for another instrument.
