Gibson Les Paul Classic Heritage Cherry Sunburst Electric Guitar

S/N 120690198
10.76lb

Part of Gibsons Modern Collection, the Gibson Les Paul Classic is the perfect hybrid of classic looks and feel along with modern performance and features. It's like a modified vintage Les Paul straight from the factory. The guitar takes the classic features of the early 60s Les Paul, the mahogany body with a bound maple top. A slim taper neck, bound rosewood fingerboard and 4 classic colours including Translucent Cherry, Heritage Cherry Sunburst, Honeyburst and Ebony and marries it perfectly with modern features such as 9-Hole weight relief and modern controls. The volume knobs are push-pull coil taps for P-90 like, single-coil tones and the tones are push-pull switches for Phase Switching, as well as a Pure Bypass switch which allows you to play with your bridge pickup wired directly to the output jack. This really is the ultimate guitar for musicians who seek vintage purity but needs a workhorse that's not going to cause backache and can cover any genre from any era.

The Ultimate Blend
As much as we, myself included lust over the original guitars of the 50s and 60s the reality is that many of these instruments are fairly impractical for recording and gigging. There is a reason why guitar design didn't just stop, things were always being redesigned and imagined each year as technology and music developed. The Gibson Les Paul Classic perfectly represents a gigging musicians guitar. A vintage styled instrument that over the years has been modified and tweaked as things go wrong or as the needs of the player changed. The electronics have been rewired for added versatility and the tuners upgraded to more responsive and stable machines. But at its heart it's still a trusty old Les Paul, ready to rock gig after gig. The Les Paul Classic comes out of the box with these features so that you have your perfect Les Paul factory fresh.

9-Hole
Known to many as the ‘Traditional’ weight relief or even as the Swiss Cheese weight relief, the Gibson 9-Hole method has been the standardised method of shaving a few of those extra pounds off the Les Paul since the 80s. Unlike more modern approaches to weight relief, the 9-Hole method still maintains a fair amount of the Les Pauls weight. This makes it a great hybrid for those who still want a solid feeling guitar with tons of sustain but doesn't want a Les Paul that will break their back.

Burstbucker 61 Pickups
The beating heart of the Les Paul Classic is the 61 Burstbucker Pickups. These are made to 60s PAF spec and give you all the classic tones that you would expect from a vintage-styled Gibson. The warm, airy and natural tone of the PAF is part of what made the Les Paul so famous. Perfect for all types of music, the pronounced midrange is ideal for pushing a breaking up amp into classic rock heaven or for cutting through the mix with a clean sound. The open coil Zebra configuration provides a little more output for a slight increase in punch.

Finance Options

Start owning the musical instrument you want now, today!

If you're set on buying your new instrument, there's no need to get weighed down by the total cost of it straight away. If you break it down into monthly payments over time, it's much more manageable than you might think. And our fixed interest rates mean you'll know exactly what you're paying from the start.

How To Apply For Finance

How it works

The finance options available are displayed on the individual product pages.

Pay a fixed deposit, depending on the price of the purchase. The rest is split into monthly payments up to three years. At the end of your contract when you've made your final payment, the instrument or equipment is all yours. You could own that dream guitar, drum kit or piano sooner than you thought!

Finance is available for selected new and used instruments.

Which Finance Options Are Available?

Most products on our website show the available finance options. Some are interest free, and some are interest bearing. The options shown on the site are an example of what is available - if you would like to pay over a different period, give us a call on 01323 639335 and we’ll try and arrange a finance option that suits your budget.

You can apply for finance online, or over the telephone - call us on 01323 639335 if you'd like to speak to one of our musical instrument experts.

All finance is subject to acceptance by our finance provider and a credit check will be carried out on the applicant.

Call 01323 639335 to discuss finance options in more detail.

We offer our customers the ability to apply for simple finance facilities to fund a purchase from us. Once you are accepted by V12 Retail Finance you will be asked to eSign the credit agreement and once in receipt of your purchase, v12 will make your agreement live and your monthly repayments will commence for the agreed term. In short retail finance gives you the flexibility to buy what you really want now, not just what you can afford today by spreading the cost of your purchase over a repayment period that suits your budget.

Eligibility Criteria

You must: Be at least 18 years of age Have been a UK resident for 3 years or more Be able to make repayments by direct debit Be in regular employment* (minimum of 16 hours per week) including self-employment, or in permanent residence with your spouse/partner who is in regular employment *If you are retired and receive a pension or registered disabled and unable to work, V12 Retail Finance may ask for proof of sufficient income.

During the loan application process you will be asked for your personal information such as name, 3 year address history, date of birth, email and telephone contact details and employment/income information. If you are accepted you will also need a credit or debit card registered to you at your address on the credit application so that the lender can carry out an electronic identity check.

Processing Time

With most applications we expect that you will be given an acceptance or decline decision within 10-20 seconds. In some cases the lender may return the decision as ‘referred’. You will then receive an email with further instructions once the underwriters have made a decision. For in store applications you can usually wait in the shop whilst the underwriters review your application. Underwriting hours are between 8am and 8pm, Monday to Friday (excluding Bank holidays), 9am and 6pm on Saturday, and 10am and 5pm on Sunday. If your application is referred outside of these hours then you may have to wait until the next working day for the decision.

You do not meet the eligibility criteria (see above);

  • adverse credit reference agency information;
  • your credit score;
  • you are considered to be overcommitted;
  • or your existing account performance with other lenders.

The lender will give you the contact details for the credit reference agency used. They will also give you information on how to appeal the decision if you wish to discuss the matter. Please note that the lender is unable to discuss this over the telephone due to Data Protection rules. You should also note that each lender applies its own credit score to applicants so if you have recently been accepted for credit elsewhere this does not necessarily mean that appealing the decision on this basis alone will result in a change of decision.

9-Hole Known to many as the ‘Traditional’ weight relief or even as the Swiss Cheese weight relief, the Gibson 9-Hole method has been the standardised method of shaving a few of those extra pounds off the Les Paul since the 80s. Unlike more modern approaches to weight relief, the 9-Hole method still maintains a fair amount of the Les Pauls weight. This makes it a great hybrid for those who still want a solid feeling guitar with tons of sustain but doesn't want a Les Paul that will break their back. Burstbucker 61 Pickups The beating heart of the Les Paul Classic is the 61 Burstbucker Pickups. Part Exchange Your Guitar Looking to cash something in exchange for your Gibson Les Paul Classic? Gibson Les Paul Classic Heritage Cherry Sunburst Electric Guitar S/N 120690198 10.76lb Part of Gibsons Modern Collection, the Gibson Les Paul Classic is the perfect hybrid of classic looks and feel along with modern performance and features. The Ultimate Blend As much as we, myself included lust over the original guitars of the 50s and 60s the reality is that many of these instruments are fairly impractical for recording and gigging. There is a reason why guitar design didn't just stop, things were always being redesigned and imagined each year as technology and music developed.
