Kawai CA48 Satin Black Digital Piano Incl Stool & Headphones

The CA48 brings together the two most important factors when choosing a piano - high-quality sound and realistic keyboard touch. There are not too many buttons and unnecessary features on this instrument which means more concentration on piano practice rather than technology!

Tony White - Bonners Piano Specialist

The Kawai CA48 features an incredibly responsive solid-wood keyboard action with long keys, which makes this a cut above other pianos in a similar price range. If you’re looking for a digital instrument that provides a truly authentic grand piano feel at an affordable price, then this could be the piano for you!

Supplied With Everything You Need From Bonners Music

This is our Kawai CA48 “Value Package” and it includes the piano, matching adjustable height piano stool and a set of nice quality headphones for silent practice. Every Kawai CA48 series piano purchased brand new from Bonners is also sold with a 5 year manufacturer backed warranty for complete peace of mind.

Part-Exchange Your Existing Instrument

Do you already own a piano or keyboard that you would like to trade-in for a new Kawai CA48? Email us details of what you have to partex@bonners.co.uk and we will email you back a part-exchange valuation straight away.

Grand Feel Keyboard Action

The CA48 makes use of Kawai’s acclaimed Grand Feel Compact wooden-key action, which includes Ivory Touch key surfaces, Graded Hammers, Let-off Mechanism (sometimes called Escapement), Triple Sensors, and finely-balanced Counterweights. All this combines to create an extremely accurate re-creation of a Grand Piano action, which is a pleasure to play.

Stunning Grand Piano Sounds

Kawai have included both the beautiful Shigeru Kawai SK-EX and the Kawai EX Concert Grand Piano sounds on the CA48, using their Progressive Harmonic Imaging technology. With 88-key sampling, these piano sounds really are stunning reproductions of two of the very best Grand Pianos around, with every subtle nuance of tone and timbre faithfully captured for a truly dynamic playing experience.

Bluetooth MIDI and Apps

The CA48 has integrated Bluetooth MIDI which enables you to wirelessly connect a supported smart device and access Kawai’s useful apps. The Virtual Technician App allows you to edit a whole host of elements of the Grand Piano sound (17 different parameters, in fact!), as if you were a skilled tuner/technician, so you’re able to customise the sound to your own personal taste. All the little nuances that combine to create the overall piano sound can be adjusted, such as Damper Resonance, Fall-Back Noise, Hammer Delay, Decay Time, Voicing, Damper Noise, and String Resonance, to name but a few. There are also 10 presets, if you need a little help!

The Sound Museum App provides an enhanced user interface for the CA48, making the selection of sounds and the playback of songs much more intuitive than using the control panel buttons alone. It also allows you to store your favourite sounds and settings for easy recall when playing.

Lesson Songs

The CA48 contains a useful selection of built-in lesson songs and studies, for learning and practice. These tried-and-tested studies and methods are favourites with piano teachers around the world, many of whom have extremely well-used hard copies of these books in their libraries! Studies by Burgmuller, Czerny, and Beyer sit alongside the content of Alfred’s Basic Piano Library Lesson Books, and are a very useful resource.

Headphones and Speakers

For times when you don’t want others to hear you play, the CA48 features two different-sized headphone sockets and utilises Kawai’s Spatial Headphone Sound (SHS) technology. This is designed to give enhanced depth and quality of sound, as well as guarding against auditory fatigue if you’re playing for a lengthy amount of time with headphones on.

The CA48 has a powerful 4-speaker amplification system, comprising 2 x 13cm speakers and also 2 little 5cm tweeters for excellent sound quality across the whole dynamic range of the instrument.

Finance Options

Start owning the musical instrument you want now, today!

If you're set on buying your new instrument, there's no need to get weighed down by the total cost of it straight away. If you break it down into monthly payments over time, it's much more manageable than you might think. And our fixed interest rates mean you'll know exactly what you're paying from the start.

How To Apply For Finance

How it works

The finance options available are displayed on the individual product pages.

Pay a fixed deposit, depending on the price of the purchase. The rest is split into monthly payments up to three years. At the end of your contract when you've made your final payment, the instrument or equipment is all yours. You could own that dream guitar, drum kit or piano sooner than you thought!

Finance is available for selected new and used instruments.

Which Finance Options Are Available?

Most products on our website show the available finance options. Some are interest free, and some are interest bearing. The options shown on the site are an example of what is available - if you would like to pay over a different period, give us a call on 01323 639335 and we’ll try and arrange a finance option that suits your budget.

You can apply for finance online, or over the telephone - call us on 01323 639335 if you'd like to speak to one of our musical instrument experts.

All finance is subject to acceptance by our finance provider and a credit check will be carried out on the applicant.

Call 01323 639335 to discuss finance options in more detail.

We offer our customers the ability to apply for simple finance facilities to fund a purchase from us. Once you are accepted by V12 Retail Finance you will be asked to eSign the credit agreement and once in receipt of your purchase, v12 will make your agreement live and your monthly repayments will commence for the agreed term. In short retail finance gives you the flexibility to buy what you really want now, not just what you can afford today by spreading the cost of your purchase over a repayment period that suits your budget.

Eligibility Criteria

You must: Be at least 18 years of age Have been a UK resident for 3 years or more Be able to make repayments by direct debit Be in regular employment* (minimum of 16 hours per week) including self-employment, or in permanent residence with your spouse/partner who is in regular employment *If you are retired and receive a pension or registered disabled and unable to work, V12 Retail Finance may ask for proof of sufficient income.

Information Required

During the loan application process you will be asked for your personal information such as name, 3 year address history, date of birth, email and telephone contact details and employment/income information. If you are accepted you will also need a credit or debit card registered to you at your address on the credit application so that the lender can carry out an electronic identity check.

Processing Time

With most applications we expect that you will be given an acceptance or decline decision within 10-20 seconds. In some cases the lender may return the decision as ‘referred’. You will then receive an email with further instructions once the underwriters have made a decision. For in store applications you can usually wait in the shop whilst the underwriters review your application. Underwriting hours are between 8am and 8pm, Monday to Friday (excluding Bank holidays), 9am and 6pm on Saturday, and 10am and 5pm on Sunday. If your application is referred outside of these hours then you may have to wait until the next working day for the decision.

Delivery

For finance orders made online or via mail order we are only able to deliver the goods to the address on your credit agreement (your home address). You will not be able to have the goods shipped to another address or collect the goods from us in person.

Returns & Cancellation Procedure

If you wish to return the order then please refer to our returns policy. If we accept your return we will contact the lender to cancel the credit agreement. We may not able to cancel the finance if the return falls outside of our returns period.

Declined Credit Applications

You will be informed of the decision if the lender declines your application, the lender in unable to share the reason for decline with us. Applications are usually declined for reasons such as:

You do not meet the eligibility criteria (see above);

  • adverse credit reference agency information;
  • your credit score;
  • you are considered to be overcommitted;
  • or your existing account performance with other lenders.

The lender will give you the contact details for the credit reference agency used. They will also give you information on how to appeal the decision if you wish to discuss the matter. Please note that the lender is unable to discuss this over the telephone due to Data Protection rules. You should also note that each lender applies its own credit score to applicants so if you have recently been accepted for credit elsewhere this does not necessarily mean that appealing the decision on this basis alone will result in a change of decision.

This latest digital piano features the same sound engine as Roland’s flagship LX/HP models, and you’ll hear the benefits of our acclaimed SuperNATURAL Piano Modeling in performance that flawlessly recreates the rich, dynamic response of an acoustic instrument. You’ll also appreciate the new PHA-50 keyboard, whose blend of wood and molded material means it plays like traditional ivory, but without the associated maintenance and expense. A Dynamic Speaker System Fills Your Home with MusicThe DP603’s onboard speaker system projects warm, enveloping sound, with controllable volume that lets you play loudly or quietly to suit the scenario. This new piano goes even further to double as a wireless speaker system, so you won’t need to clutter your home with an additional hi-fi or stereo. Using Bluetooth wireless technology, simply connect the Roland DP603 with your smartphone or tablet, and then play back your favorite songs through the internal speakers. Or better still, jam along with them! Learn Faster with Onboard Educational Tools and Wireless Connection to Piano AppsLearning the piano can be a solitary experience, but the Roland DP603 supports you every step of the way. With 300 onboard songs ready for you to jam over, you’ll be improving in no time. If you need it, the built-in metronome tightens up your timing before the onboard recorder assesses your development. USB playback/save functions enhance your practice sessions and let you archive performances, while Twin Piano mode enables a learner and teacher to sit side-by-side and play in the same key range. And don’t forget the teaching power of apps—by connecting with your iPad or Android tablet via Bluetooth MIDI or a USB cable, you can access a world of popular apps and online practice videos. A great first step is Roland’s Piano Partner 2, which displays the sheet music of the DP603’s internal songs on your tablet’s screen. This saves you the hassle of trying to find a private purchaser, and also means you could have your new CA58 in your home sooner than you perhaps thought! If your existing instrument doesnt have a value, we can often arrange collection of it (usually free of charge) when you purchase a new CA58 from Bonners. Best-In-Class Keyboard Touch The CA58 uses the newly designed Grand Feel Compact wooden keyboard action. This keyboard provides an authentic recreation of an acoustic grand piano with similar touch weight and response. This is a smaller-form-factor version of the Grand_Feel keyboard actions that are used in the flagship CA78 and CA98 models. The GF Compact key action maintains the long wooden keys used for both black and white keys, and the seasaw mechanism which is true to an acoustic grand piano. This results in a consistent touch - even when playing notes towards the rear of the keys. Counterweights The GF Compact keyboard also has counterweights attached to the bass keys. These additional weights are in place to lighten the touch of the keyboard when performing softly, but adds greater velocity when playing fortissimo. The sound of two concert Grand pianos Inside the CA58, youll find the magnificent tones of two World-class grand pianos. Shigeru Kawai EX Concert Grand Piano The Shigeru Kawai EX Concert Grand is the latest hand-crafted stage instrument with a reputation of being one of the Worlds most exceptional instruments. This sound has been captured in immense detail using Kawais Harmonic Image Sampling XL technology using extra-long samples (recordings) to deliver an excellent piano sound from a digital instrument. Shigeru Kawai EX Concert Grand Piano In addition to the SK-EX piano, the CA58 also features the distinctive sound of Kawais highly acclaimed EX concert grand piano, which has been selected by professional pianists in such prestigious events as the Chopin, Tchaikovsky, and Rubinstein international piano competitions, among others. Additional Features Broaden your options by connecting a smart device to the CA58 using Wireless Bluetooth technology. This allows you to stream audio playback through the sound system of the CA58, or connect to apps for learning, practicing, digital sheet music or recording. The keyboard can be split with one sound on the right and another on the left, and it is also possible to layer two voices together for popular combinations such as piano/orchestral strings. The CA58 also features a built-in metronome with additional drum rhythms to aid practice, and there is a music library of songs for playalong practice Specifications CA58 Keyboard Action: Grand Feel Compact Key Material: Wood Key Surface: Ivory Touch Letoff Simulation: Yes Sensors: 3 Velocity Curves: Light+, Light, Normal, Heavy, Heavy+, Off (Constant), User Key Lid: Yes Sound Source: Harmonic Imaging XL, 88 Key Sampling Sounds: 42, Grand Pianos: Shigeru Kawai EX, Kawai EX Polyphony: 256 Notes Virtual Technician: Voicing, Damper Resonance, Damper Noise, String Resonance, Undamped Strings Resonance, Cabinet Resonance, Key-off Effect (inckl.
