Kawai CA48 Satin White Digital Piano Including Stool & Headphones

The CA48 brings together the two most important factors when choosing a piano - high-quality sound and realistic keyboard touch. There are not too many buttons and unnecessary features on this instrument which means more concentration on piano practice rather than technology!

Tony White - Bonners Piano Specialist

The Kawai CA48 features an incredibly responsive solid-wood keyboard action with long keys, which makes this a cut above other pianos in a similar price range. If you’re looking for a digital instrument that provides a truly authentic grand piano feel at an affordable price, then this could be the piano for you!

Supplied With Everything You Need From Bonners Music

This is our Kawai CA48 “Value Package” and it includes the piano, matching adjustable height piano stool and a set of nice quality headphones for silent practice. Every Kawai CA48 series piano purchased brand new from Bonners is also sold with a 5 year manufacturer backed warranty for complete peace of mind.

Part-Exchange Your Existing Instrument

Do you already own a piano or keyboard that you would like to trade-in for a new Kawai CA48? Email us details of what you have to partex@bonners.co.uk and we will email you back a part-exchange valuation straight away.

Grand Feel Keyboard Action

The CA48 makes use of Kawai’s acclaimed Grand Feel Compact wooden-key action, which includes Ivory Touch key surfaces, Graded Hammers, Let-off Mechanism (sometimes called Escapement), Triple Sensors, and finely-balanced Counterweights. All this combines to create an extremely accurate re-creation of a Grand Piano action, which is a pleasure to play.

Stunning Grand Piano Sounds

Kawai have included both the beautiful Shigeru Kawai SK-EX and the Kawai EX Concert Grand Piano sounds on the CA48, using their Progressive Harmonic Imaging technology. With 88-key sampling, these piano sounds really are stunning reproductions of two of the very best Grand Pianos around, with every subtle nuance of tone and timbre faithfully captured for a truly dynamic playing experience.

Bluetooth MIDI and Apps

The CA48 has integrated Bluetooth MIDI which enables you to wirelessly connect a supported smart device and access Kawai’s useful apps. The Virtual Technician App allows you to edit a whole host of elements of the Grand Piano sound (17 different parameters, in fact!), as if you were a skilled tuner/technician, so you’re able to customise the sound to your own personal taste. All the little nuances that combine to create the overall piano sound can be adjusted, such as Damper Resonance, Fall-Back Noise, Hammer Delay, Decay Time, Voicing, Damper Noise, and String Resonance, to name but a few. There are also 10 presets, if you need a little help!

The Sound Museum App provides an enhanced user interface for the CA48, making the selection of sounds and the playback of songs much more intuitive than using the control panel buttons alone. It also allows you to store your favourite sounds and settings for easy recall when playing.

Lesson Songs

The CA48 contains a useful selection of built-in lesson songs and studies, for learning and practice. These tried-and-tested studies and methods are favourites with piano teachers around the world, many of whom have extremely well-used hard copies of these books in their libraries! Studies by Burgmuller, Czerny, and Beyer sit alongside the content of Alfred’s Basic Piano Library Lesson Books, and are a very useful resource.

Headphones and Speakers

For times when you don’t want others to hear you play, the CA48 features two different-sized headphone sockets and utilises Kawai’s Spatial Headphone Sound (SHS) technology. This is designed to give enhanced depth and quality of sound, as well as guarding against auditory fatigue if you’re playing for a lengthy amount of time with headphones on.

The CA48 has a powerful 4-speaker amplification system, comprising 2 x 13cm speakers and also 2 little 5cm tweeters for excellent sound quality across the whole dynamic range of the instrument.

Finance Options

Start owning the musical instrument you want now, today!

If you're set on buying your new instrument, there's no need to get weighed down by the total cost of it straight away. If you break it down into monthly payments over time, it's much more manageable than you might think. And our fixed interest rates mean you'll know exactly what you're paying from the start.

How To Apply For Finance

How it works

The finance options available are displayed on the individual product pages.

Pay a fixed deposit, depending on the price of the purchase. The rest is split into monthly payments up to three years. At the end of your contract when you've made your final payment, the instrument or equipment is all yours. You could own that dream guitar, drum kit or piano sooner than you thought!

Finance is available for selected new and used instruments.

Which Finance Options Are Available?

Most products on our website show the available finance options. Some are interest free, and some are interest bearing. The options shown on the site are an example of what is available - if you would like to pay over a different period, give us a call on 01323 639335 and we’ll try and arrange a finance option that suits your budget.

You can apply for finance online, or over the telephone - call us on 01323 639335 if you'd like to speak to one of our musical instrument experts.

All finance is subject to acceptance by our finance provider and a credit check will be carried out on the applicant.

Call 01323 639335 to discuss finance options in more detail.

We offer our customers the ability to apply for simple finance facilities to fund a purchase from us. Once you are accepted by V12 Retail Finance you will be asked to eSign the credit agreement and once in receipt of your purchase, v12 will make your agreement live and your monthly repayments will commence for the agreed term. In short retail finance gives you the flexibility to buy what you really want now, not just what you can afford today by spreading the cost of your purchase over a repayment period that suits your budget.

Eligibility Criteria

You must: Be at least 18 years of age Have been a UK resident for 3 years or more Be able to make repayments by direct debit Be in regular employment* (minimum of 16 hours per week) including self-employment, or in permanent residence with your spouse/partner who is in regular employment *If you are retired and receive a pension or registered disabled and unable to work, V12 Retail Finance may ask for proof of sufficient income.

Information Required

During the loan application process you will be asked for your personal information such as name, 3 year address history, date of birth, email and telephone contact details and employment/income information. If you are accepted you will also need a credit or debit card registered to you at your address on the credit application so that the lender can carry out an electronic identity check.

Processing Time

With most applications we expect that you will be given an acceptance or decline decision within 10-20 seconds. In some cases the lender may return the decision as ‘referred’. You will then receive an email with further instructions once the underwriters have made a decision. For in store applications you can usually wait in the shop whilst the underwriters review your application. Underwriting hours are between 8am and 8pm, Monday to Friday (excluding Bank holidays), 9am and 6pm on Saturday, and 10am and 5pm on Sunday. If your application is referred outside of these hours then you may have to wait until the next working day for the decision.

Delivery

For finance orders made online or via mail order we are only able to deliver the goods to the address on your credit agreement (your home address). You will not be able to have the goods shipped to another address or collect the goods from us in person.

Returns & Cancellation Procedure

If you wish to return the order then please refer to our returns policy. If we accept your return we will contact the lender to cancel the credit agreement. We may not able to cancel the finance if the return falls outside of our returns period.

Declined Credit Applications

You will be informed of the decision if the lender declines your application, the lender in unable to share the reason for decline with us. Applications are usually declined for reasons such as:

You do not meet the eligibility criteria (see above);

  • adverse credit reference agency information;
  • your credit score;
  • you are considered to be overcommitted;
  • or your existing account performance with other lenders.

The lender will give you the contact details for the credit reference agency used. They will also give you information on how to appeal the decision if you wish to discuss the matter. Please note that the lender is unable to discuss this over the telephone due to Data Protection rules. You should also note that each lender applies its own credit score to applicants so if you have recently been accepted for credit elsewhere this does not necessarily mean that appealing the decision on this basis alone will result in a change of decision.

Yamaha CLP685 Clavinova Digital Piano; Polished White The very pinnacle of Yamaha’s Clavinova CLP range, the CLP685 brings together the very best digital piano technology from the World’s leading piano manufacturer. Grand Touch Keyboard Action Yamaha’s newly developed GrandTouch key action has a deeper travel than other models, and is similar to the feel of an acoustic grand piano. The inclusion of a key-stop stabilisier means that ‘Bounce’ is minimised when the key hits the keybed. A Selection Of The World’s Best Piano Voices In One Instrument Imagine having a selection of FOUR world-class grand and upright pianos at your fingertips - available to play whenever inspiration hits. With the CLP685 you have exactly that - four distinctly different piano voices, all recreated with maximum detail specially selected to suit all different playing styles and musical tastes. Yamaha CFX World Class Grand Piano With Binaural Sampling Yamaha’s CFX concert grand represents the pinnacle of their acoustic piano engineering and is the result of over 20 years research and development. The result is a powerful, exquisite tone across the entire dynamic range. The CFX is one of the piano voices available in the CLP685 and is also equipped with binaural sampling to enhance the playing experience through headphones. Bosendorfer Imperial Concert Grand Piano For the times when you need a more delicate, mellow tone, the Bosendorfer Imperial is the perfect instrument. Bösendorfer pianos are regarded as one of the very best makes and are often found on the concert stage. Yamaha have recreated all the nuances of the Imperial model in the CLP685, and this is a truly expressive piano tone. Yamaha C7x Studio Grand Piano The C7X provides a clear sound with a clean attack, sparkling tone, and transparent harmonies. This instrument is favoured by contemporary rock & pop as well as jazz musicians, and the CLP685 delivers this popular grand piano voice alongside the CFX and Bosendorfer sounds. Yamaha SU7 Concert Upright Voice A new addition for the Clavinova CLP685 is the Yamaha SU7 upright piano voice. The SU7 is the top-of-the-range concert-quality Yamaha upright piano. Sometimes, the voice of an upright piano is more suitable for certain pieces, and the CLP685 not only gives you the choice of the three grand pianos, but also the stunning SU7 upright. Binaural Sampling On CFX voice For Enhanced Headphone Output One of the most popular reasons for purchasing a digital piano is the convenience of silent practice when using headphones. Yamaha have worked hard on the CLP685 to develop a flawless headphone experience known as binaural sampling. With this technology, playing through headphones is just as enjoyable as when listening to the instrument through it’s own powerful speaker system. High Quality Audio System The amplification and speaker system on the CLP685 takes the heritage and technology that Yamaha have developed in their home audio systems and places it in the heart of this flagship Clavinova piano. Delivering a crisp, powerful and clean 180w sound through a 6 way speakers system, the CLP685’s sound defies its compact upright piano size. For the first time on a Yamaha digital piano, the spruce pulp used to make the speaker cones in the CLP685 is the same material Yamaha uses to make piano sound boards and the result is a natural sound quality. You can also stream audio from your MP3 player or tablet computer direct to the CLP685’s sound system, which is ideal for playing along with high quality backing tracks from apps such as Yamaha’s Notestar. Choice Of Colour Options The CLP685 is available in both Black Walnut and Polished ebony finishes. There is also the beautiful Polished White option - the first time this has been available in a CLP series instrument. Spread The Payment With Digital Piano Finance Bonners offers the choice of spreading the payment of your new CLP685 digital piano. Yamaha C2x SH2 Silent Grand Piano; Polished Ebony Yamaha C2x SH2 Silent Grand Piano; Polished Ebony
Yamaha C2X SH2 Silent Piano The C2X has an additional fourth back post to provide additional support and durability, and at 5 foot 8 deep has longer bass strings than the C2X. The result is a fuller, richer tone and a great clarity. < p>Why Buy a Silent Piano? The Yamaha C2X SH2 Silent Piano offers players the ability to play an acoustic instrument through headphones, using a highly sophisticated and realistic sensor-technology, which captures every movement of the keys and recreates them digitally in great detail. Yamahas Flagship CFX concert grand piano is recreated in awesome detail thanks to Yamahas Binaural sampling technology and Virtual Resonance Modelling - and with features such as Bluetooth Audio, a selection of pre-installed voices, and connectivity to mobile devices via Yamahas Smart Pianist App, you have all you could possibly need in one versatile instrument. We will need to know the make, model (if known) and serial number of your piano. We consider digital pianos, acoustic pianos, keyboards and even guitars in part exchange! Dimensions & Weight: Width 149cm Height 101cm Depth 173cm Weight: 305kg Two of the Worlds Finest Concert Grand Pianos When in 'silent' mode, the Yamaha C2X SH2 defaults to Yamahas 9-foot Concert Grand Piano bright, rich, and powerful. For a rich, warm sound with a beautiful sonorous bass, the press of a button takes you to the Bosendorfer Imperial Concert Grand Piano. All 88 keys have been sampled individually for the most accurate representation of these exquisite instruments. Sonic Palette Stereophonic Optimizer There are 20 sounds pre-installed to the Yamaha C2X SH2, including a variety of electric pianos, strings, and organs. To make these voices feel and sound more authentic and natural, the stereophonic optimizer reproduces the natural sound distance, making you forget you are wearing headphones and preventing your ears from getting tired after a long practice session. Binaural Sampling The default CFX sound uses Binaural technology when wearing headphones. Specialised microphones placed in the players ears position capture nuances and locational information usually only picked up by the human ear. You truly forget you are wearing headphones when playing with the CFX sound and can practice for much longer periods of time than with standard stereo headphone sampling. Virtual Resonance Modelling One thing many players miss the most when playing a digital instrument are the pianos natural resonance. A grand piano has several areas where sound travels and reverberates, such as the solid spruce soundboard, and even the outer rims of the instrument. Each time you play an acoustic piano, a limitless amount of different resonances and overtones are captured. Yamaha have recreated this in the C2X SH2, thanks to their enhanced Virtual Resonance Modelling. Every element of the acoustic instrument is captured, from the timing of the keys being pressed, to the dampers lifting from the strings and the pedals being pressed. This is captured in great detail across all 88 keys. The result is an authentic and immersive playing experience, filled with expression. Unique Yamaha Technology To further enhance the realistic playing experience when using the C2X SH2 Silent features, Yamahas Smooth Release technology understands the way your finger releases the key, responding to smoother legato playing as well as shorter staccato notes. Key-off samples are actual recordings that capture the subtle changes as the finger is completely lifted away from the key, as the damper felt returns to rest on the string. Sensors under each key detect continuous movement, without affecting the feel of the piano. Infinite levels of expression are therefore possible, in the same way you would expect on a standard acoustic instrument. Similar non-contact Hammer sensors work in the same way to allow both slow and rapid keystrokes, and rapid trills that would not be possible on typical digital pianos. Yamahas Quick Escape System means that, when in silent mode, the hammers and strings are the ideal distance apart, so the quality of touch isnt sacrificed as with other silent models. Bluetooth Audio If you want to play along to backing tracks or songs stored on your mobile device, you can now stream wirelessly via Bluetooth with the Yamaha C2X SH2 system when using headphones. Smart Pianist App Smart Pianist is Yamahas own free app, which enables the player to control functions such as selecting voices or editing the metronome settings, as well as playing along to scores displayed on the Smart Device. The UD-WL01 USB Wireless LAN Adaptor (sold separately) is required to use Smart Pianist over a wireless connection. Simple & Sophisticated Control Panel A sophisticated design and intuitive interface, the control panel blends with the pianos cabinet. Available in white finish for polished white pianos. Connectivity USB to HOST connect to a computer or portable device and record high-quality audio without need for an external interface. AUX OUT play through external speakers / IC recorders AUX IN listen from external devices such as sound source modules and music players MIDI OUT transmit performance information to external devices ie synths MIDI IN receive and playback information from sequencers using the SH2 Tone Generator Recording As well as being able to record directly to the built-in recorder on the piano, and listen back to your performance immediately, you can also record high quality audio to a USB memory stick (not included). The data will be stored as a WAV file, ready to play on a PC or burn to CD or portable music players. Headphones The headphones included with the Yamaha C2X SH2 are open structured meaning they produce an excellent quality of sound, while also minimizing the strain that can be caused by long hours of headphone playing. Metronome The built-in metronome enables the player to practice and listen to precise rhythm while playing. This, along with other features, is accessed most easily via Yamahas Smart Pianist app. How does Yamaha SH2 silent system differ to the cheaper Yamaha SC2 Silent system? Yamahas SC2 Silent System is available on the B series upright pianos, as well as the GB1K baby grand piano. You will find the SH2 system on the higher quality P, U, YUS, and SE series uprights and the GC and CX series grand pianos. This means you usually have multiple choice of the same model from which to choose your perfect Feurich piano. Before our Feurich pianos make it to the showroom, they go through a detailed preparation process to ensure they are sounding and performing at their absolute best. After being given time to settle after transportation to our premises, every Feurich piano undergoes a first regulation and tuning. This process ensures that all the mechanical parts are functioning correctly before the instrument is played passed to our in-house pianists for their evaluation. Our musicians put the piano through its paces using a wide variety of musical styles and then collaborate with our specialist Feurich-trained piano technicians who then carry out detailed voicing and regulation to maximise the tone and performance of the piano. This preparation process is unique to Bonners in the UK, and we are confident that our Feurich pianos out-perform the same models available from other piano retailers. Feurich was founded in 1851, and became the first German piano manufacturer to use under-damper actions in upright pianos, long before its rivals. Wendl & Lung have been working with Feurich since 2010, and the partnership's motto is "Tradition & Innovation". Unlike other manufacturers all components of the piano action are designed and assembled personally by Feurich, with their experts individually monitoring each other during the entire process. Bonners hold stock of a wide range of Feurich Upright and Grand Pianos in our two piano shops. We have piano shops in Reigate Surrey and Eastbourne East Sussex. Both stores have on-site parking and are the perfect place to come and try Feurich Pianos. Feurich 179 Grand Piano Dimensions Width 1515mm Height 1020mm Depth 1790mm The 179 model is Feurich’s best-selling grand piano. It is loved around the world for ts amazing tone and playability. The piano has been continually developed and improved over the last 11 years, leading to precision-engineered components and a design that is unbeatable at this price. Soundboard The size of the soundboard on the 179 model is equivalent to that of a grand piano 2 metres in length. This is due to an extra wide angle down the left side of the piano, maximising the surface area of the soundboard and resulting in a larger sound, particularly in the bass register. The soundboard itself is made of the highest quality spruce wood, and has also been developed so that it is stable and resistant to climate changes over a long period of time. Frame Design The 179 model features a redesigned, light frame design. This is to allow less sound absorption, which is particularly noticeable in the treble register, generating brilliance and a clear sound. The bar along front is completely missing, which is a nice feature allowing the player to view the hammers moving while playing. The multi-laminate pin block is climate resistant, adding durability. Wide angles allow more string length than you would usually see in a piano of this size, as the strings virtually touch the wooden frame. Every inch of the piano has been made use of in order to optimise the sound quality. Duplex Scaling The strings on this model use duplex scaling, which means the strings resonate sympathetically with each note struck, adding brilliance and sparkle in the treble regions. Strings The strings for this model were designed by Stephen Paulello, and are rust free! They are nickel plated, creating a stable and pure tone for many years to come. Key Action The special Feurich key action sets this piano apart from other pianos of its size. No plastic is used in any part of the action, as this is not elastic enough to provide the feel and touch response Feurich are seeking. There is a low amount of lead weight used inside the key itself, resulting in a very low inertia when the key is struck. This gives a great dynamic range, including effortless pianissimo. The dampening wire is entirely perpendicular; around this is the precision-engineered space for felt. This means there is no wobbling of the key or friction involved at all, making the instrument very responsive and easy to play. The key itself is made from solid timber, making it very light. Other Features LED anti-glare lamp built in to the piano Traditional music stand to allow optimum sound. Special Feurich design of pedals, sloped slightly towards the player. Layered lacquered surface, so small scratched are easily polished over Large wheels, allowing easy repositioning of the piano. Lesson Songs The CA48 contains a useful selection of built-in lesson songs and studies, for learning and practice. Headphones and Speakers For times when you don’t want others to hear you play, the CA48 features two different-sized headphone sockets and utilises Kawai’s Spatial Headphone Sound (SHS) technology.
