Tony White - Bonners Piano Specialist

Supplied With Everything You Need From Bonners Music

This is our Kawai CA78 “Value Package” and it includes:

  • The Kawai CA78 Digital Piano
  • A matching adjustable height piano stool
  • A set of nice quality 'over the head' headphones for silent practice
  • Every Kawai CA78 series piano purchased brand new from Bonners is also sold with a 5 year manufacturer backed warranty for complete peace of mind.

The brand new Kawai CA78 Digital Piano not only features their most realistic wooden keyboard action, but now adds the convenience of Bluetooth, an LCD touchscreen display, and premium amplification never-before-seen in digital pianos. This, along with the new multi-channel piano sound, now means you can hear the flagship SK-EX Concert Grand Piano in even better quality, with authentic 88-note resonance, and Kawai’s most complex modelling. With the latest series, Kawai have maintained all the best elements and features of previous CA series pianos, and have added attributes that improve the playing and user experience.

Grand Feel Touch

Kawai have kept with the winning formula of their Grand Feel II keyboard action for the CA78. The wooden black and white keys have graded counterweights to ensure a light and responsive touch, along with a seesaw-style pivot to recreate the feel of an acoustic grand piano. Most digital pianos have a shorter key and a pivot at the rear, which doesn’t allow for the repetition the Grand Feel II achieves on this model. The final result is a key action that delivers the feel of playing a Kawai Grand Piano.

Piano Sound

The CA78 features a brand-new piano-only sound engine. The SK-EX Concert Grand has been recorded from multiple points across the soundboard, and as a result, the sound created is much more realistic than typical stereo sampling. The tonal characteristics, dynamic control, and expression come across much more accurately and even make for a more responsive touch as the piano reacts to your playing across all registers. Mathematical algorithms are used to reproduce the natural resonances of the Kawai SK-EX Concert Grand. The result is a rich, authentic tone. From string and damper resonance, to aliquot and key-off noise, the resonances are applied progressively across all 88 keys. Over 1000 parameters are active in real time, giving you the most detailed and authentic sound. On top of this brand new "Pianist Mode" feature, Kawai have kept the "Sound Mode" from previous models, including samples of the SK-EX, and SK5 Grand Pianos.

Premium Amplification

Kawai have collaborated with Japanese electronics manufacturer Onkyo in the manufacturing of the CA78. The sound resolution is unrivalled in digital pianos, thanks to 1-Bit DSD processing – as well as increasing the sound resolution, the depth and tonal quality are also enhanced. The harmonic character of the piano is maintained through the purest sound quality, with any digital noise and unwanted distortion eliminated. The amplifiers have a large dynamic range, and as a result, the presence and clarity of the sound is excellent. Brand new technology called “Discrete SpectraModule” reproduces a genuine acoustic piano sound through headphone playing, with fast responsiveness to changes in dynamics. In summary, the level of engineering and quality of the components used make for the highest quality sound you will find on a digital piano.

Bluetooth Technology

Where previous models have relied on wired connections to access external devices, the CA78 now comes with Bluetooth Audio and MIDI connectivity. Through Bluetooth MIDI you can record and play songs wirelessly, and connect to various apps on Smart Devices. The CA78 is compatible with iOS8, Android Marshmallow, and OS X Yosemite. The Bluetooth Audio function enables streaming of any audio file, allowing seamless accompaniment to your favourite songs, or even watching lesson videos online.

LCD Touchscreen

The CA78 features a brand new 5-inch colour touchscreen. Coming away from clicking buttons, this LCD screen lets you touch and swipe the screen to operate all the functions of the piano. The screen will turn off when you are playing or when the screen is inactive. The user interface is simple to use, helping you select sounds, songbooks, and concert magic with a touch or swipe. You can even save your favourite settings to come back to each time you turn the CA78 on.

Design

The attractive and practical design of previous CA series digital pianos has been maintained and improved. Along with the brand-new touchscreen, the CA78 features a 6-position music rest, a raised pedal unit to provide a more comfortable playing experience, and a coverless speaker opening above the keyboard. The toe block has been thinned and KAWAI badge repositioned.

Finance Options

Start owning the musical instrument you want now, today!

If you're set on buying your new instrument, there's no need to get weighed down by the total cost of it straight away. If you break it down into monthly payments over time, it's much more manageable than you might think. And our fixed interest rates mean you'll know exactly what you're paying from the start.

How To Apply For Finance

How it works

The finance options available are displayed on the individual product pages.

Pay a fixed deposit, depending on the price of the purchase. The rest is split into monthly payments up to three years. At the end of your contract when you've made your final payment, the instrument or equipment is all yours. You could own that dream guitar, drum kit or piano sooner than you thought!

Finance is available for selected new and used instruments.

Which Finance Options Are Available?

Most products on our website show the available finance options. Some are interest free, and some are interest bearing. The options shown on the site are an example of what is available - if you would like to pay over a different period, give us a call on 01323 639335 and we’ll try and arrange a finance option that suits your budget.

You can apply for finance online, or over the telephone - call us on 01323 639335 if you'd like to speak to one of our musical instrument experts.

All finance is subject to acceptance by our finance provider and a credit check will be carried out on the applicant.

Call 01323 639335 to discuss finance options in more detail.

We offer our customers the ability to apply for simple finance facilities to fund a purchase from us. Once you are accepted by V12 Retail Finance you will be asked to eSign the credit agreement and once in receipt of your purchase, v12 will make your agreement live and your monthly repayments will commence for the agreed term. In short retail finance gives you the flexibility to buy what you really want now, not just what you can afford today by spreading the cost of your purchase over a repayment period that suits your budget.

Eligibility Criteria

You must: Be at least 18 years of age Have been a UK resident for 3 years or more Be able to make repayments by direct debit Be in regular employment* (minimum of 16 hours per week) including self-employment, or in permanent residence with your spouse/partner who is in regular employment *If you are retired and receive a pension or registered disabled and unable to work, V12 Retail Finance may ask for proof of sufficient income.

During the loan application process you will be asked for your personal information such as name, 3 year address history, date of birth, email and telephone contact details and employment/income information. If you are accepted you will also need a credit or debit card registered to you at your address on the credit application so that the lender can carry out an electronic identity check.

Processing Time

With most applications we expect that you will be given an acceptance or decline decision within 10-20 seconds. In some cases the lender may return the decision as ‘referred’. You will then receive an email with further instructions once the underwriters have made a decision. For in store applications you can usually wait in the shop whilst the underwriters review your application. Underwriting hours are between 8am and 8pm, Monday to Friday (excluding Bank holidays), 9am and 6pm on Saturday, and 10am and 5pm on Sunday. If your application is referred outside of these hours then you may have to wait until the next working day for the decision.

You will be informed of the decision if the lender declines your application, the lender in unable to share the reason for decline with us. Applications are usually declined for reasons such as:

You do not meet the eligibility criteria (see above);

  • adverse credit reference agency information;
  • your credit score;
  • you are considered to be overcommitted;
  • or your existing account performance with other lenders.

The lender will give you the contact details for the credit reference agency used. They will also give you information on how to appeal the decision if you wish to discuss the matter. Please note that the lender is unable to discuss this over the telephone due to Data Protection rules. You should also note that each lender applies its own credit score to applicants so if you have recently been accepted for credit elsewhere this does not necessarily mean that appealing the decision on this basis alone will result in a change of decision.

This means you usually have multiple choice of the same model from which to choose your perfect Feurich piano. Before our Feurich pianos make it to the showroom, they go through a detailed preparation process to ensure they are sounding and performing at their absolute best. After being given time to settle after transportation to our premises, every Feurich piano undergoes a first regulation and tuning. This process ensures that all the mechanical parts are functioning correctly before the instrument is played passed to our in-house pianists for their evaluation. Our musicians put the piano through its paces using a wide variety of musical styles and then collaborate with our specialist Feurich-trained piano technicians who then carry out detailed voicing and regulation to maximise the tone and performance of the piano. This preparation process is unique to Bonners in the UK, and we are confident that our Feurich pianos out-perform the same models available from other piano retailers. Feurich was founded in 1851, and became the first German piano manufacturer to use under-damper actions in upright pianos, long before its rivals. Wendl & Lung have been working with Feurich since 2010, and the partnership's motto is "Tradition & Innovation". Unlike other manufacturers all components of the piano action are designed and assembled personally by Feurich, with their experts individually monitoring each other during the entire process. Bonners hold stock of a wide range of Feurich Upright and Grand Pianos in our two piano shops. We have piano shops in Reigate Surrey and Eastbourne East Sussex. Both stores have on-site parking and are the perfect place to come and try Feurich Pianos. Feurich 162 Piano Dimensions Width 1500mm Height 1020mm Depth 1620mm The 162 model is the most compact grand piano within the Feurich range, so is ideal for use in smaller spaces. It has been redeveloped and improved throughout the last 11 years, and as such has an outstanding sound for a piano of its size. Soundboard The overall width of the 162 is slightly wider than that on other similarly sized pianos. This maximises the surface area of the soundboard, enhancing the bass register along with the overall sound. The soundboard is made from spruce, and includes extra features designed to improve climatic stability. Frame Design The 162 model features a redesigned, light frame design. This is to allow less sound absorption, which is particularly noticeable in the treble register, generating brilliance and a clear sound. Strings The strings for this particular model were designed by Stephen Paulello, and are rust free! They are nickel plated, creating a stable and pure tone for many years to come. Duplex Scaling The strings on this model use duplex scaling, which means the strings resonate sympathetically with each note struck, adding brilliance and sparkle in the treble regions. Key Action The special Feurich key action sets this piano apart from other pianos of its size. No plastic is used in any part of the action, as this is not elastic enough to provide the feel and touch response Feurich are seeking. There is a low amount of lead weight used inside the key itself, resulting in a very low inertia when the key is struck. This gives a great dynamic range, including effortless pianissimo. Felt Feurich spend a great deal of time and thought on the felts they choose in each specific model. In the 162 model, the felts under the keys are soaked in a substance which serves to help retain their shape over many years of use. Felts inside the action are both durable and elastic. Other Features LED anti-glare lamp built in to the piano Traditional music stand to allow optimum sound Special Feurich design of pedals, sloped slightly towards the player. Layered lacquered surface, so small scratched are easily polished over Also available in Polished Black finish with Chrome Fittings and Polished White finish with Chrome FittingsThis model is also available with the harmonic pedal, which you can see here See The Feurich 162 Grand Piano In Our Specialist Piano Store When choosing a new piano, there's nothing better than getting your hands on various instruments to ensure you're making the right choice. This package includes an adjstable height piano stool & headphones so you have everything you need to start playing right away! Tony White - Bonners Piano Specialist Supplied With Everything You Need From Bonners Music This is our Kawai CA78 “Value Package” and it includes: The Kawai CA78 Digital Piano A matching adjustable height piano stool A set of nice quality 'over the head' headphones for silent practice Every Kawai CA78 series piano purchased brand new from Bonners is also sold with a 5 year manufacturer backed warranty for complete peace of mind. Grand Feel Touch Kawai have kept with the winning formula of their Grand Feel II keyboard action for the CA78. Piano Sound The CA78 features a brand-new piano-only sound engine. Premium Amplification Kawai have collaborated with Japanese electronics manufacturer Onkyo in the manufacturing of the CA78. Bluetooth Technology Where previous models have relied on wired connections to access external devices, the CA78 now comes with Bluetooth Audio and MIDI connectivity. LCD Touchscreen The CA78 features a brand new 5-inch colour touchscreen. Design The attractive and practical design of previous CA series digital pianos has been maintained and improved. Along with the brand-new touchscreen, the CA78 features a 6-position music rest, a raised pedal unit to provide a more comfortable playing experience, and a coverless speaker opening above the keyboard. The toe block has been thinned and KAWAI badge repositioned.
