Roland RD Series Stage Pianos

There is a good reason why musicians the world over have opted for Roland RD pianos when performing for the last 30 years. Roland set their standards high, and this comes through in the sound and the feel of their stage pianos. The controls are sturdy, and the keys are smooth. This brilliant combination ensures that players are able to enjoy both the simple practicality and the dynamic playability of these pianos night in, night out.

For the stage and the studio

Whether you go for the RD-88 or the RD-2000, you can be assured that you will be getting nothing but pure quality. The RD-88 gives you all the touch and depth of sound that you might expect from the legendary RD series, but does so in an extra affordable and conveniently lighter package. The RD-2000 is the next step forward in the range, giving you two independent sound engines, premium action, and advanced controller features. These make it a real asset, whether you are on stage or in the studio.

A world of sounds

You don't just get world class piano sounds; there is much more to explore. In fact, you are treated to a feast of over 1100 non-piano sounds, including organs, strings, brass, synths, and many others. On top of that, you will be able to apply faithfully recreated vintage analog effects to your voice, many of which dig back into Roland's illustrious back catalog.

Roland RD2000 Stage Piano History Of The Roland RD2000 In 1986, Roland introduced the groundbreaking RD1000 digital stage piano. At the time, the RD1000 was the most advanced digital piano and featured Roland’s advanced SA synthesis technology to produce the best possible piano sound. By today’s standards, the piano sounds on the RD1000 are not particularly realistic, but they have a distinctive tone that is both dynamic and expressive, and has been used by countless artists including Elton John, Oleta Adams, Richard Marx to name but a few. Fast-forward 30 years to the present day and Roland have once-again broken the boundaries of piano sound technology with the introduction of the flagship RD2000 Stage Piano. The Best Roland Keyboard Action The RD2000 is a professional piano keyboard featuring the acclaimed PHA-50 key action. This key action is manufactured using a combination of wood outer sides, and a synthetic material core. This gives the best of both worlds - traditional natural materials for look and feel, and synthetic parts for maximum reliability over many years of performance. See & Try The RD2000 At Bonners Piano Stores We are stage piano specialists and show the Roland RD2000 on demonstration in both our stores.
