Made In Austria

The 123 Vienna instrument is made and hand-finished in Feurich’s Austrian piano factory under the supervision of Friedrich Steinbauer and Jan Enzenauer - esteemed piano makers known for their craft and attention to detail. Traditional Feurich production processes have been combined with modern piano-building expertise to create this new prestigious range of European manufactured Feurich pianos.

Ultra-Fast Key Response

The 123 Vienna features a custom-made Renner piano action. This action has been designed to give the fastest speed of repetition possible using Feurich’s patented High Speed KAMM Action which means there is no jack stop rail. Also, No lead weights are used in the keys, and there is more angle on the hammer shanks which maximises the effect of gravity when the hammer returns to it’s resting position. The black and white keys of a upright pianos are different lengths which means different amounts of pressure are required from the player to achieve similar tonal response. The Feurich Vienna regulates the amount of pressure required for both the black and white keys by the use of different wippens, and therefore the leverage is the same for all keys. This is the first time this technique has been used in the manufacture of an upright piano. The hammerheads have been custom made for the Vienna pianos using high quality Weickert Felts. Environmentally friendly composite wood materials are used on the black keys to give perfect grip and better absorption of humidity than plastic

Unique European Case Design

The casing of the Vienna 123 model can be completely removed because the braces, action, and keyboard are all housed in an iron frame. This means parts of the case can be replaced easily. In fact, it is possible to play the piano with no casework attached at all! The standard satin black finish with chrome accents does look truly stunning and the laquer used has been made by Hesse in Germany.

FEURICH Pedal System

The newly designed centered pedal system with short vertical levers is directly coupled to the piano action - similar to grand pianos. The low level of torsion allows for fine nuances made possible while pedaling. Built-In Music Lamp The Feurich 123 Vienna model is fitted with an anti-glare music lamp integrated into the top panel.

Here are some of the key features of the Feurich Vienna 123 model:

Keyboard & Action

  • No key leads used whatsoever.
  • Balanced key design, with less key weight means very low inertia

Both stores have on-site parking and are the perfect place to come and try Feurich Pianos. Dimensions W1515mm H1020mm D1790mm The 179 model is Feurich’s best-selling grand piano. It is loved around the world for ts amazing tone and playability. The piano has been continually developed and improved over the last 11 years, leading to precision-engineered components and a design that is unbeatable at this price.

Soundboard

The size of the soundboard on the 179 model is equivalent to that of a grand piano 2 metres in length. This is due to an extra wide angle down the left side of the piano, maximising the surface area of the soundboard and resulting in a larger sound, particularly in the bass register. The soundboard itself is made of the highest quality spruce wood, and has also been developed so that it is stable and resistant to climate changes over a long period of time.

Frame Design

The 179 model features a redesigned, light frame design. This is to allow less sound absorption, which is particularly noticeable in the treble register, generating brilliance and a clear sound. The bar along front is completely missing, which is a nice feature allowing the player to view the hammers moving while playing. The multi-laminate pin block is climate resistant, adding durability. Wide angles allow more string length than you would usually see in a piano of this size, as the strings virtually touch the wooden frame. Every inch of the piano has been made use of in order to optimise the sound quality.

Duplex Scaling

The strings on this model use duplex scaling, which means the strings resonate sympathetically with each note struck, adding brilliance and sparkle in the treble regions.

Strings

The strings for this model were designed by Stephen Paulello, and are rust free! They are nickel plated, creating a stable and pure tone for many years to come.

Key Action

The special Feurich key action sets this piano apart from other pianos of its size. No plastic is used in any part of the action, as this is not elastic enough to provide the feel and touch response Feurich are seeking. There is a low amount of lead weight used inside the key itself, resulting in a very low inertia when the key is struck. This gives a great dynamic range, including effortless pianissimo. The dampening wire is entirely perpendicular; around this is the precision-engineered space for felt. This means there is no wobbling of the key or friction involved at all, making the instrument very responsive and easy to play. The key itself is made from solid timber, making it very light.

Other Features

This preparation process is unique to Bonners in the UK, and we are confident that our Feurich pianos out-perform the same models available from other piano retailers.

Quality

Only the finest quality components are used in the production of the Concert I 218. High quality spruce is used in the soundboard, and the large surface area, along with extra wide angles in the strings, maximises string length and speaking length. This increases the bass response, as well as tone and sustain. The Paulello rust-free strings are known for their consistency and accuracy across the entire range, and are built to last. The piano's frame is light, absorbing little sound, especially in the treble registers. This delivers a pure brilliance and clean sound. Add this to not only duplex scaling, but also triplex scaling, and the result is outstanding warmth, brilliance, and a long, clear sustain with great harmonic overtones. High quality Renner hammer head felts are used in this model, as they have been tried and tested to produce the best sound for this instrument.

Built to Last

Feurich's flagship model is a durable, long lasting instrument, built to withstand changes in the environment. The multi-laminated pinblock ensures resistance to climatic changes in the longterm, and provides a high degree of tuning stability. Special felts are used in the dampers, under the keys, and at all contact points, designed to retain their shape over a number of years.

Light, Responsive Touch

The keys on Feurich's Concert I 218 are made from solid timber, which is lighter than typical laminated keys. With little lead weight in the keys, the result is a light touch with low inertia, making it very easy to play both pianissimo and fortissimo. No plastic components are used in Feurich's piano action, as this does not provide the elasticity needed in this quality of piano. Attention to detail in the damper wires, including felts around the wires to reduce friction, add to the feeling and lightness of touch.

Other Features

  • Traditional Music Stand
  • Feurich Pedals angled towards the player
  • extra-large wheels for easy repositioning

Dimensions W1560mm H1330mm D650mm The Concert 133 Model is the largest and biggest sounding Feurich upright piano. It would be the ideal piano for recording studios and smaller concert venues. It is also the widest model, at 156cm in width; this allows for extra lengthening of the strings, creating a more resonance and deeper bass.

Duplex Scaling

This model also offers Duplex scaling, which adds brilliance and rich harmonic overtones to higher registers – usually only found in Grand Pianos.

Key Action

The special Feurich key action sets this piano apart from other pianos of its size. Production Quality

The highest quality spruce wood is used in production of the double layered soundboard that features in this model. Solid timber is used throughout the piano, making the model durable and giving a rich sound across the whole range, and a long, clear sustain.

Damper Springs

The damper springs on a Mod. 133 are ‘U’ shaped, as opposed to the standard spiral springs. This eliminates unwanted noise and provides a smoother pedal action.

Wooden Black Keys

Where most manufacturers use composite plastic parts, the Mod. 125’s black keys are made from solid wood.

Felts

The Mod. 133 uses German Wurzen felts, which have a wide tonal range. The bushing felts are made of extremely high-density Kashmir felts, to minimise wear and tear. The under-key felts are dense yet elastic, and are fused with special substances making them completely resistant to any climatic changes. This ensures stable regulation of the piano.

Our musicians put the piano through its paces using a wide variety of musical styles and then collaborate with our specialist Feruich-trained piano technicians who then carry out detailed voicing and regulation to maximise the tone and performance of the piano. This preparation process is unique to Bonners in the UK, and we are confident that our Feurich pianos out-perform the same models available from other piano retailers. ABOUT FEURICH Feurich was founded in 1851, and became the first German piano manufacturer to use under-damper actions in upright pianos, long before its rivals. Wendl & Lung have been working with Feurich since 2010, and the partnership’s motto is “Tradition & Innovation”. Unlike other manufacturers all components of the piano action are designed and assembled personally by Feurich, with their experts individually monitoring each other during the entire process. Bonners hold stock of a wide range of Feurich Upright and Grand Pianos in our two piano shops. We have piano shops in Reigate Surrey and Eastbourne East Sussex. Both stores have on-site parking and are the perfect place to come and try Feurich Pianos.

Mod. 125 “Design” Upright Piano

Dimensions W1515mm H1250mm D600mm The Mod. 125 upright piano is a compact model, boasting great purity of tone for a piano of its dimensions. It has a rich, full and consistent sound across the whole range, and a pure sustain.

Improved-Design Frame

The frame design of the Mod. 125 sets this piano apart from other Feurich uprights, ensuring the double strings in the bass register are of the same length, creating a pure tone.

Duplex Scaling

This model also offers Duplex scaling, which adds brilliance and rich harmonic overtones to higher registers – usually only found in Grand Pianos.

Speaking Length

Brass and steel bars along the iron frame act to make sure the “speaking length” of the strings is exact, again enhancing the piano’s overall tone.

Damper Springs

The damper springs on a Mod. 125 are ‘U’ shaped, as opposed to the standard spiral springs. This eliminates unwanted noise and provides a smoother pedal action.

Key Action

The new-improved Feurich key action found in a Mod. 125 is front-weighted, what you would normally expect to find in a grand piano. This means the touch is what you might expect from a medium-sized grand piano.

Felt

This Feurich uses Australian felts, as they feel this gives the best results and a wide tonal range, along with a smooth touch and low key noise. With a high density, the felts have a good resistance to climatic changes. No plastic or carbon fibre is used in the Feurich action as this does not provide the elasticity needed.

Wooden Black Keys

Where most manufacturers use composite plastic parts, the Mod. 125’s black keys are made from solid wood.

Extra Leg Room

The Mod. 125 has thought of it all – including extra leg room for those taller pianists! A full 65cm depth is available for those in need.

Other Features

• Elegant double leg design • Soft Fall Lid, giving elegance and silence • Layered lacquered surface, so small scratches are easily polished over • Celeste Pedal for silent practice Also available in Black Polished finish with Chrome Fittings, as seen here

Dimensions W1500mm H1020mm D1620mm The 162 model is the most compact grand piano within the Feurich range, so is ideal for use in smaller spaces. It has been redeveloped and improved throughout the last 11 years, and as such has an outstanding sound for a piano of its size.

Soundboard

The overall width of the 162 is slightly wider than that on other similarly sized pianos. This maximises the surface area of the soundboard, enhancing the bass register along with the overall sound. The soundboard is made from spruce, and includes extra features designed to improve climatic stability.

Frame Design

The 162 model features a redesigned, light frame design. This is to allow less sound absorption, which is particularly noticeable in the treble register, generating brilliance and a clear sound.

Strings

The strings for this particular model were designed by Stephen Paulello, and are rust free! They are nickel plated, creating a stable and pure tone for many years to come.

Duplex Scaling

The strings on this model use duplex scaling, which means the strings resonate sympathetically with each note struck, adding brilliance and sparkle in the treble regions.

Felt

Feurich spend a great deal of time and thought on the felts they choose in each specific model. In the 162 model, the felts under the keys are soaked in a substance which serves to help retain their shape over many years of use. Felts inside the action are both durable and elastic.

The harmonic pedal

is the newest pedal innovation since the sostenuto pedal, and gives an extra expression of sound colour to a pianist’s performance. When the pedal is fully pressed, the notes do not remain dampened once the key is released, unlike with the classical damper pedal. When the pedal is only half-pressed, all dampers are raised from the strings. Only dampers associated with released keys return to strings of only those notes. When the Harmonic Pedal is half-pressed, all strings associated with un-played notes remain un-dampened, allowing for the first time their "sympathetic" harmonic relationship to played notes to be clearly heard and importantly, precisely controlled. The harmonic pedal is simple to use for pianists at any level of experience. Width: 1460mmDepth: 1980mmThis piano has been restored in our own on-site workshop facilities, with the following work being carried out:
  • Remove strings
  • Re-string using Roslau bass Strings and Parkes Wire Strings
  • New pins
  • New hammer heads
  • Re-polish cabinet
  • Clean original ivory keys
  • It was not necessary to remove the frame from this piano as the soundboard was in excellent condition and required no shimming.
This particular model has been voiced at the start of 2017 by Carsten Schulz of KlavierEtage, Berlin, a German Piano technician highly experienced in getting the very best tone from a piano. The tone produced on this particular Bechstein piano is comparable to that found in the highest quality Concert Grand Pianos. C. Bechstein piano factory was founded in 1853 by Carl Bechstein in Berlin, Germany. Carl Bechstein set out to manufacture a piano able to withstand the great demands imposed on the instrument by the virtuosi of the time, such as Franz Liszt.

Feurich 123 Vienna Premium Upright Piano

You can see, play and purchase this wonderful instrument in our showroom. We offer 0% finance and part exchange deals, so contact us on 01737 242174 to discuss the options.

LED anti-glare lamp built in to the piano Traditional music stand to allow optimum sound Special Feurich design of pedals, sloped slightly towards the player Layered lacquered surface, so small scratched are easily polished over Large wheels, allowing easy repositioning of the piano Specially large wheels easy repositioning

  • Anti-Glare LED Light
  • Traditional Music Stand
  • Feurich Pedals angled towards the player
  • extra-large wheels for easy repositioning
  • Soft-fall lid,

  • Optional fourth harmonic pedal

ABOUT FEURICH Feurich was founded in 1851, and became the first German piano manufacturer to use under-damper actions in upright pianos, long before its rivals. Wendl & Lung have been working with Feurich since 2010, and the partnership’s motto is “Tradition & Innovation”. Both stores have on-site parking and are the perfect place to come and try Feurich Pianos.

No plastic is used in any part of the action, as this is not elastic enough to provide the feel and touch response Feurich are seeking.

Other Features

• Anti-glare LED light, perfect for performance or practice • Special Feurich design of pedals, sloped slightly towards the player • Layered lacquered surface, so small scratched are easily polished over

This preparation process is unique to Bonners in the UK, and we are confident that our Feurich pianos out-perform the same models available from other piano retailers.

ABOUT FEURICH

Feurich was founded in 1851, and became the first German piano manufacturer to use under-damper actions in upright pianos, long before its rivals.

Felt

Feurich spend a great deal of time and thought on the felts they choose in each specific model. In the 162 model, the felts under the keys are soaked in a substance which serves to help retain their shape over many years of use. Felts inside the action are both durable and elastic.

Other Features

LED anti-glare lamp built in to the piano Traditional music stand to allow optimum sound Special Feurich design of pedals, sloped slightly towards the player Layered lacquered surface, so small scratched are easily polished over Also available in Polished Black finish with Chrome Fittings and Polished White finish with Chrome Fittings This model is also available with the harmonic pedal, which you can see here
