What Is Virtual Resonance Modelling?

The sound of a grand piano resonates throughout the body of the instrument, providing a rich reverberation that surrounds the listener in sound. This natural reverberation is replicated perfectly in the CLP635 Clavinova through Virtual Resonance Modeling (VRM), which calculates the various states of the strings for each of the 88 notes on the keyboard from one instant to next. This allows for the vivid, richly-varied expression that reflects the limitless number of factors inherent in playing the piano.

Duplex scaling technology also enhances the resonance of the upper octave, and adds both brightness and body to the character of the high registers. Duplex scaling is found on high quality acoustic grand pianos, and the new Yamaha CLP600 series is the first digital piano range to emulate this important feature.

A Choice Of Colour Options

The CLP635 is available in a choice of satin colours including Black Walnut, Rosewood, White, and new for this range - Dark Walnut. If you want the true acoustic piano look, then you will be pleased to hear the CLP635 is also available in the popular high gloss Polished Ebony finish.

The music rest features small clips for holding sheet music and books in place.
