Roland GP609 Digital Grand Piano

The Roland GP609 is the perfect instrument for the discerning pianist who wants an instrument which has the presence of an acoustic grand piano, but with the benefits of digital. The GP609 is just under 5 feet from front to back - similar to a small baby grand acoustic piano and it's cabinet looks absolutely stunning in the polished black finish.

The GP609 is ideal for situations which require the presence & beauty of a grand piano with minimum maintenance. The GP609 has a lovely keyboard touch and the legendary Roland SuperNATURAL piano sound. The perfect instrument for your home, hotel or restaurant, without the ongoing tuning & servicing required by traditional acoustic instruments.

Tony White - Bonners Piano Specialist

The Beauty of A Grand Piano Without the Costs

The GP609 is built to look, sound and play like an acoustic piano but without the regular maintenance costs. The sound is produced digitally which means there is no tuning required. There is a choice of various piano sounds to suit different musical styles - from a delicate mellow piano for romantic classical pieces, a concert grand voice for powerful performances and a bright piano for Rhythm & Blues styles - plus many more!

Weighing just 148KG, the GP609 is approx of the wright of a normal acoustic grand piano and it can be easily moved without needing to employ specialist piano movers.

If you have any questions about part exchange, please contact our piano department directly on 01323 639335.

Grand Piano Keyboard Feel

Keyboard action is the term used to describe the key mechanism system used in a piano. It is important to choose a digital piano that offers the closest keyboard feel to that found in an acoustic piano. The Roland GP609 uses the PHA-50 keyboard action which is manufactured from a combination of wood and plastic parts to give the natural feel of a traditional piano whilst using synthetic parts for long-lasting reliability.

Roland SuperNATURAL piano sound

The GP609 piano sound is generated using the same SuperNATURAL sound technology that was pioneered in the flagship Roland V-Piano. This piano sound uses computer modelling techniques to recreate the performance of an acoustic grand piano and gives the player the ability to tailor the sound to their own requirements using the Roland Piano Designer feature. Parameters such as hammer noise, string resonance, damper resonance, hammer hardness and individual note tuning (along with other settings) can all be adjusted to create your own bespoke piano tones. These can be saved within the internal memory of the GP609.

Connect To Apps for Even More Features

Connect your GP609 digital grand piano to your iPad or Android device to make use of Roland's Piano Partner 2 app. The connection is completely wireless via Bluetooth and allows full interaction of both data and audio between the piano and the smart device. The Piano Partner 2 app allows full remote control of the piano's standard features (sound & voice selection, menu functions, recording, metronome etc) as well as unlocking completely new features such as rhythms/accompaniments, theory games and play along with music with the on-screen score.

If you don't have a piano player in-house, the GP609 can wirelessly stream music from a smartphone through to its powerful onboard speakers, with adjustable volume depending on whether you just need background music or actual musical performance. A variety of onboard sounds means it's possible to play a broad repertoire of popular songs too.

Spread The Cost With Finance

If you're set on buying your new instrument, there's no need to get weighed down by the total cost of it straight away. If you break it down into monthly payments over time, it's much more manageable than you might think. And our fixed interest rates mean you'll know exactly what you're paying from the start.

How it works
The finance options available are displayed on our individual product pages - just click the button under the price to see the available options for each product. Finance is available for most new and used instruments over £400.

Pay a fixed deposit, and the rest is split into monthly payments. At the end of your contract when you've made your final payment, the instrument or equipment is all yours. You could own that dream guitar, piano or keyboard sooner than you thought!

Which Finance Options Are Available?
Most products on our website show the available finance options. Some are interest free, and some are interest bearing. The options shown on the site are an example of what is available - if you would like to pay over a different period, give us a call on 01323 639335 and we’ll try and arrange a finance option that suits your budget.
