Hammond SKX Pro 61-Key Dual Manual Stage Keyboard Organ
In 2021 Hammond launched the SK Pro series of keyboards which have been extremely popular with pro keyboard players. Hammond has now added the new SKX Pro to the range, which in some ways could be described as a two-manual version of the SK Pro, but this instrument has some added features which are great for live performance.
More Information About The SKX Pro
Hammond has listened to feedback from existing owners of SK series keyboards, and as a result of this, the SKX Pro has many features that have been requested by the public.
Along with the SK Pro launched last year, the new SKX Pro puts Hammond instruments firmly in the arena of professional quality performance keyboards.
Not only does the SKX Pro have a stunning tonewheel organ sound engine and superb high-resolution other voices such as pianos, strings and synths, but this new instrument also features some advanced sound creation and editing features that have not been seen on a two-manual instrument before. Add to this some advanced external MIDI controller features, and the SKX is sure to become the centrepiece of many player's keyboard rigs either on stage, in the studio, or just as a really versatile home instrument.
The SKX Pro is very flexible in how it allows you to assign sounds to different parts of the keyboard. You can even split the individual manuals to give you more than one sound on each keyboard. You can set up the SKX Pro to work just how you need it in your particular musical situation, so no matter what context you're going to be using the SKX Pro, it can be made to suit your specific needs.
Advanced Modelled Tonewheel Organ
SKX Pro is the most advanced portable digital organ ever manufactured by Hammond Suzuki. Featuring the same MTW1 modelled tonewheel sound engine as the premium XK5, the SKX Pro also has the authentic 'feel' of a vintage instrument due to its Virtual Multi-Contact Keyboard.
Four Sound Engines
Four individual sound engines can be allocated to either keyboard and used in combination to create rich textures of sound. All voices have been recorded at a higher resolution than previous Hammond SK series keyboards to give the very highest audio quality.
The analogue modelled mono synth section can be used to create the modern-day lead and bass sounds, as well as iconic tones from the 70s & 80s.
Digital Leslie Simulator
A new Digital Leslie simulator reproduces a convincing rotary speaker effect, with a choice of modelled tone cabinets on hand for different musical tastes. The tube modelling system completes the sound with the essential Hammond “tube-warmth”.
A special system emulating the “Matching Transformer” of a vintage Hammond Organ adds striking authenticity to the Hammond Drawbar tones.
In addition to the great Drawbar sounds, the SKX PRO also models the Italian, British and Japanese “transistor” combo organs which have regained popularity in today's music. there is also a full range of classical pipe organ voices and a range of Theatre pipe sounds.
