Yamaha MODX6+ Synthesizer Keyboard
The Yamaha MODX+ range of keyboard synthesizers is based on the same technology used in the flagship MONTAGE keyboards. Available in 61, 73 or 88 note key versions, the updated MODX PLUS instruments have more FLASH memory, increased polyphony and re-designed pitch bend & modulation wheels, and a fresh new dark slate colour finish.
This keyboard sounds amazing considering the low price point, and it represents one of the best performance vs value synths on the market today.
The MODX was one of Yamaha's best-ever selling keyboards, and the MODX+ gives you more power to create cutting-edge sounds for all musical genres. Whether used live on stage in your band or for studio multi-track composition, the MODX+ is loaded with 2227 expertly created ready-to-play performances with up to 16 Parts per Performance for Splits, Layers, and Multimode-MIDI.
Following the footsteps of the industry-leading MONTAGE keyboards, MODX+ is equipped with the now famous Super Knob for making multiple voice adjustments with a single control movement. There is an input for mixing an external audio source with the sound of the MODX+, an onboard USB audio interface, and a total of 8 knobs & sliders for precise real-time control.

MODX+ uses the same technology that powers the flagship MONTAGE: 128 notes of AWM2 (Advanced Wave Memory 2) sample and synthesis polyphony for stunning emulative acoustic instruments, synth sounds and drums.
MODX+ also features 128 notes of FM-X (Frequency Modulation) polyphony - a unique, expressive, highly-programmable synthesis technology for dynamic, electro-modern music creation.
AWM2
The AWM2 engine is exclusive to Yamaha synthesizers and offers much more than just sample playback. Each of the 16 AWM2 Parts feature eight programmable synthesizers with 18 different filter types, amplitude, pitch and filter envelope generators, nine LFOs, 3-band EQ and a dedicated dual insert effect with Virtual Circuitry Modeling.
FM-X
Everything you love about the iconic DX7 meets the latest Yamaha innovations. FM-X produces classic ‘80s or cutting-edge EDM synthesizer sound with incredible dynamic range, power and fidelity. MODX+ goes well beyond the capabilities of the original DX7 with an 8-operator FM architecture, 128-note polyphony, many filter types and more. All with Motion Control for ever-evolving and changing textures to create sounds no one has ever heard before.
SMART MORPH
Smart Morph enables morphing between FM-X sounds. Its sophisticated A.I. algorithm creates an interactive morphing map from up to eight FM-X sounds. You can “play” this map from the touchscreen or use the Super Knob to move between two points. The result is a staggering number of interesting and interactive new sounds.
256-NOTE TOTAL POLYPHONY
MODX+ features 128-note stereo AWM2 polyphony and 128-notes of FM-X polyphony. Due to the unique architecture of MODX+ and MONTAGE, this polyphony is always available without latency or compromising other features.
Integrated Flash
Save your music in a flash. MODX+ includes 1.75GB of non-volatile, low latency user flash memory with high speed reading/writing for your own custom samples or synth libraries.
EFFECTS
MODX+ is packed with DSP innovation, power and sound quality to bring you everything from high-definition reverbs to detailed Virtual Circuit Modeling (VCM) effects. Get EDM sound with effects like Beat Repeat, Vinyl Break or Bit Crusher. Use the Spiralizer effect to create the auditory illusion of tone continuously rising or falling in pitch.
Add a compressor with sidechain for a modern “ducking” effect. Or go retro with vintage effects like Analog Delay, VCM Phaser or a variety of Amp Simulators.
Piano players will feel like they’re in heaven, or some other incredible performance space, with piano-focused effects like Damper Resonance and HD reverbs for a super-realistic piano experience.
A/D Input
A stereo A/D input allows you to bring external sources like analog synthesizers, vocals and other instruments into the MODX+ motion control system. Which means MODX+ control goes well beyond simple onboard effect processing. Control individual parameters with the physical controls or have MODX+ provide “invisible hands” using Motion Control. Add the Vocoder, Envelope Follower and Auto Beat Sync and it’s like the A/D input on MODX+ becomes an instrument unto itself.
Sidechain
Sidechain is a popular effect in modern dance music where a pad or other sustain part is “keyed” to the kick drum. When the kick drum plays, it ducks down the sustained part creating a “pumping” rhythmic effect.

Digital Piano Deliveries:
We have many flexible delivery options for most delivery pianos, based on your location and whether you require it flat-packed, or fully assembled in your home. Digital piano delivery options are shown at checkout.
Piano Deliveries
If you purchase a piano which is supplied with full installation, we will contact you once your order is received to arrange a convenient delivery date & time. Delivery & installation is usually within 14 days, but often sooner. Call us for current lead times on pianos.

If you choose our courier delivery/flat pack delivery method, please be aware that with larger items such as digital pianos, the courier is not contracted to carry them up any steps or stairs. If there are stairs leading to the front door of the delivery address, or you live in an apartment which is not on pavement level, it is your responsibility to arrange transportation from the pavement level to the delivery address. In this instance, the delivery driver may, at their own discretion assist you in carrying the parcels to the delivery address, but they are not contracted nor obliged to do so.
Do you need delivery upstairs, or delivery at a specific time?
For some larger items which need to be delivered upstairs - including pianos, we offer a timed delivery service using our own van and drivers. This service is free on some items and chargeable on others. Call us on 01323 639335 to discuss your specific delivery requirements.
No-one at home?
Our courier will try and deliver your parcel(s) twice. After the second failed attempt, your goods will be returned to our warehouse. If you would like us to try and deliver them again, we will charge the delivery charges associated with your order again.
Delivery Surcharges For Larger Items
For some larger items, delivery surcharges may apply to the following areas: Scotland, Wales, Channel Islands, Isle Of Wight, Cornwall, Ireland, North Of England above Leeds. Call us on 01323 639335 to check before ordering.

The finance options available are displayed on our individual product pages - just click the button under the price to see the available options for each product. Finance is available for most new and used instruments over £400.
Pay a fixed deposit, and the rest is split into monthly payments. At the end of your contract when you've made your final payment, the instrument or equipment is all yours. You could own that dream guitar, piano or keyboard sooner than you thought!
