With this baby grand Yamaha have created an instrument that brings together all the sensory experiences of playing a full-sized grand. The touch of the keys and the responsiveness of the pedals are all designed to mimic the action of a concert grand, while the sound quality replicates the voice of some of the world’s greatest grands. All this is compacted down into a baby grand that is designed for home use – without the need for the space to accommodate a full-size nine-footer!

Real Grand Expression

Yamaha has a reputation for crafting some of the finest instruments in the world, and they’ve taken that expertise and applied it to their digital instruments too. The result is the Real Grand Expression – a phrase that defines the expressive capability of their grand and baby grand digital pianos. It captures the key components of the sound of a grand with the tactile experience of playing a full-size instrument.

A voice that never goes out of tune

The Clavinova’s voice is a pitch-perfect sample of two of the world’s greatest grands – the Yamaha CFX and the Bosendorfer Imperial Concert Grand. Tuned to perfection and played by the winner of the 2010 International Chopin Piano Competition, the distinctive mellowness and subtlety of the CFX has been expertly sampled and merged with the boldness and vibrancy of the Bosendorfer. The result is a note-for-note representation of these two unique instruments with the added advantage that, as a digital instrument, it never goes out of tune.

Recreating the sound of an acoustic piano

Yamaha not only make outstanding musical instruments, but they are masters of electronics too. In the CLP565 they have combined these two areas of expertise to create a digital instrument with a truly authentic acoustic sound. This is achieved through the inclusion of unique features such as String Resonance, that recreates the range of tonal values when strings on an acoustic piano interact. The result is a mellow tone with intense reverberation without distortion.

Other unique features of the CLP565 Clavinova Digital Grand piano include:

Piano voicing sampled from Yamaha CFX and Bösendorfer Imperial grand pianos

Graded Hammer 3X (GH3X) keyboard with Synthetic Ivory keytops and escapement

303 lesson songs from popular piano methods

16-track recording & USB audio recording lets you share your music

Custom-designed sound system is optimised for mini grand cabinet

Intelligent Acoustic Control (IAC) provides optimum tone at any volume level

Acoustic Optimiser complements cabinetry for a fuller tone

34 voices

A range of apps that are compatible with iPad, iTouch and iPod

Yamaha CLP565GP Specs

Size/Weight Dimensions: Width 1430 x Height 932 x Depth 1147mm

Weight 101kg

Keyboard Number of Keys 88

Type GH3X (Graded Hammer 3X) keyboard with synthetic ivory keytops, escapement

Touch Sensitivity Hard 2, Hard 1, Medium, Soft 1, Soft 2, Fixed

Number of Pedals 3

Half Pedal Yes

Functions Damper with half pedal effect, Sostenuto, Soft

Key Cover Style Sliding

Music Rest Yes

Voices Tone Generation Piano Sound: Yamaha CFX, Bösendorfer Imperial

Key-off Samples Yes

String Resonance Yes

Smooth Release Yes

Damper Resonance Yes

Polyphony Number of Polyphony (Max.) 256

Preset Number of Voices 34

Effects: Reverb 6, Chorus 3, Brilliance 7, Master Effect12

Intelligent Acoustic Control (IAC) Yes

Functions Dual/Layers Yes

Split Yes

Songs Preset: Number of Preset Songs 18 (Voice Demo), 50 (Piano), 303 (Lesson)

Recording Number of Songs 250

Number of Tracks 16

Functions

USB Audio Recorder Playback WAV

Recording WAV

Metronome Tempo Range 5～500 (quarter note)

Overall Controls Transpose Yes

Other Control Tuning, Scale Type, etc.

Storage and Connectivity

Storage Internal Memory approx. 1.5MB

External Drives USB Flash Memory

Connectivity: Headphones 2, MIDI: IN - OUT - THRU, AUX IN, Stereo Mini, AUX OUT L / L+R, R,

USB TO DEVICE Yes

USB TO HOST Yes

Amplifiers (25W + 10W) x 2

Speakers (16cm + 5cm) x 2 [(6-5/16" + 1-15/16") x 2]

Acoustic Optimizer Yes

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0486/1870/0962/files/IMG_2899_5687d916-1967-4534-8fac-8f5682b738ab.jpg?v=1791991287
https://www.bonnersmusic.co.uk/products/yamaha-clp565gp-digital-grand-piano-polished-ebony-serial-no-bcwp01010-second-hand
