Roland FP-40 Piano Reality Sound
The FP-40 uses Roland’s Piano Reality technology to provide a rich and dynamic piano sound. Roland combines its latest piano sampling technology with elements of modelling technology from its premium instruments, helping the FP-40 deliver smooth tonal transitions, natural piano resonance and realistic note decay.
This allows the sound to respond more naturally to changes in touch and playing dynamics, helping both developing and experienced pianists play with greater expression.
PHA-4 Weighted Keyboard
The Roland FP-40 features the PHA-4 keyboard action with fully weighted hammer-action keys, escapement and Ivory Feel key surfaces. Its triple-sensor design supports faster note repetition and expressive control, while newly optimised touch curves are matched to the updated sound engine.
For beginners, this realistic weighted action helps encourage proper piano technique. For more experienced players, it provides the control needed for expressive practice and performance.
Newly Engineered Speaker System
Roland has redesigned the FP-40 speaker layout to produce a clear and spacious sound. New speaker box enclosures also improve the depth and richness of the piano’s lower register.
This enhanced built-in speaker system makes the FP-40 well suited to home practice, lessons and informal performances without necessarily requiring external amplification.
