Roland has introduced two new additions to its KIYOLA range, the KF-20 and KF-25, combining advanced digital piano technology with refined Japanese furniture craftsmanship. Developed in collaboration with Karimoku, one of Japan’s most respected furniture makers, both models feature Roland’s Piano Reality Modeling sound engine and PHA-50 hybrid keyboard for a natural, expressive playing experience. While sharing the same core performance, the KF-20 offers softly curved lines and a more organic visual style, while the KF-25 takes a bolder, architectural approach with clean angles and a Smoked Oak finish, giving players a clear choice between two distinct design directions without compromise in sound or feel.
The KIYOLA range was created with today’s homes in mind. Rather than replicating the look of a traditional upright, both models are designed as pieces of furniture first, instruments second. Clean lines, carefully chosen finishes and visible wood grain allow each piano to sit naturally in living rooms, studios or open-plan spaces, without needing to be hidden away.
Whether your taste leans towards the softer curves of the KF-20 or the sharper architectural lines of the KF-25, both models are designed to feel calm, considered and purposeful in their surroundings.
Although the two KIYOLA models look very different, they share the same musical foundation. Both use Roland’s Piano Reality Modeling sound engine and PHA-50 hybrid keyboard, offering a responsive, expressive playing experience that supports proper technique and musical development.
This means the choice between KF-20 and KF-25 is not about sound quality or touch, but about which design best suits your space and personal style. It’s a rare case of being able to choose purely on aesthetics without compromise.
Like all modern digital pianos, both KIYOLA models are designed to fit around real life. Built-in speakers make everyday playing simple, while silent headphone practice allows you to play at any time without disturbing others. Bluetooth connectivity lets you play along with music, use learning apps or explore deeper sound settings via the Roland Piano App, without cluttering the instrument with controls.
A matching bench is included with both models, designed specifically to complement the piano and encourage a comfortable, natural playing position.
As with any piano, we always recommend trying before you buy. The feel of the keyboard, the response of the pedals and the way the instrument sits in a room are all things best experienced in person.
Both the KF-20 and KF-25 are available to view and play in selected Bonners piano showrooms. Our specialists are happy to talk through the differences, help you compare finishes, and advise on which model may be the best fit for your home.
