About Yamaha

The Yamaha Music story began in 1887 when founder Torakusu Yamaha mended a broken reed organ. He moved on to build a reed organ and the company produced its first piano in 1900. Having crafted superior instruments for more than a century, Yamaha have perfected their offering and beautifully combine traditional craftsmanship with the very latest digital technology.

The Yamaha digital piano range is made up of several different series featuring instruments suitable for all levels of ability. Whether you are just starting out or are looking forward to delivering your next virtuoso performance, Yamaha digital pianos provide the playing experience, responsiveness, sound and smart technology that you need.

Yamaha at Bonners Music

The sheer breadth of choice from Yamaha is astonishing and may seem a little intimidating at first! But the range is made up of smaller collections, making it easier for you to find the right instrument.

Arius Series

The Arius Series offers eminently affordable pianos for both beginners and more experienced players with exceptional performance and elegant, contemporary styling. The piano sound of the YDP models is sampled from Yamaha’s famous CFIIIS Concert Grand Piano and each key is weighted according to its pitch like an acoustic piano. This graded hammer action encourages the right finger technique and makes the transition from an acoustic instrument much easier.

Clarinova Series

Clavinova CLP digital pianos feature synthetic ivory keys for comfort and a key action designed to replicate the touch and feel of an acoustic piano. You will discover new innovations which deliver even more realistic sound. Clarinova CSP Pianos can be completely controlled by Yamaha's Smart Pianist app on your phone or tablet. With amazing functionality, these pianos make it easier for beginners to progress and the Audio to Score Function means that you are able to take any audio track and generate a music score. Stream Lights above the keys help guide aspiring pianists.

Offering the greatest versatility, the Clarinova CVP series maximises your musical expression whilst the accompaniment styles give you a backing band to play with. The series features upright, horizontal and grand models.

AvantGrand Series

These hybrid Pianos deliver impressive combinations of technology and traditional piano building. Each piano boasts the same full length wooden key action as Yamaha acoustic pianos for the ultimate authentic piano feel.

You will also discover Digital grand pianos and portable pianos in the Yamaha range and so there is much to explore here at Bonners Music! Our experienced staff at both Eastbourne and Reigate will always be happy to help you make the right choice.

The CLP645 features the acclaimed NWX Natural Wood keyboard with escapement and synethic ebony and ivory keytops, wireless bluetooth audio connectivity and upgraded 60w amplification/speaker system to give a fuller bodied sound at lower volume levels. The CLP645 has twice the number of speakers found in the lower range models and this gives a clearer, richer and more defined sound. The new CLP645 is available in a choice of satin wood colours including Black Walnut, Dark Walnut, Rosewood, Satin White and White Ash. For an additional cost there is also the option of the luxury high gloss black polished ebony finish. The music desk on the CLP645 is fitted with sheet music / book clips to keep the music in place. Choice of Two Concert Grand Piano Sounds The CLP645 delivers the sound of two world-class concert grand pianos - the powerful Yamaha CFX and the Bosendorfer Imperial. Both of these instruments have distinct characteristics that suit a wide variety of playing styles and music tastes, and both are available at your fingertips depending on how the mood takes you! In addition to these wonderful concert grand piano voices, Yamaha have included a recreation of their flagship SU7 upright piano for when certain pieces sound at their best when performed on an upright instrument. Additional Instrument Voices & Recording The CLP645 is equipped with a total of 36 voices including acoustic and electronic pianos, as well as harpsichord, organs, strings, choir, vibes, bass sounds and guitars. These voices can be layered / split across the keyboard, and also used for creating compositions and orchestrations using the on-board 16-track song recorder. Save your compositions as MIDI data, or export to .WAV audio file format to simplify sharing with your friends / family. Audio recording requires a suitable USB memory stick (not supplied). Bluetooth Audio Streaming Make full use of the CLP645’s high quality audio system by streaming the sound of your MP3 player or tablet computer wirelessly to the piano. With a sound system that rivals dedicated home audio equipment, this is ideal for just listening to your favourite albums, or playing along to backing tracks using Yamaha’s Notestar app. Virtual Resonance Modelling The sound of a grand piano resonates throughout the body of the instrument, providing a rich reverberation that surrounds the listener in sound. This natural reverberation is replicated perfectly in the CLP645 Clavinova through Virtual Resonance Modeling (VRM), which calculates the various states of the strings for each of the 88 notes on the keyboard from one instant to next. This allows for the vivid, richly-varied expression that reflects the limitless number of factors inherent in playing the piano. Duplex scaling technology also enhances the resonance of the upper octave, and adds both brightness and body to the character of the high registers. Duplex scaling is found on high quality acoustic grand pianos, and the new Yamaha CLP600 series is the first digital piano range to emulate this important feature. Enhanced Headphone Sound Output With Binaural Sampling The Yamaha CLP645 pianos is designed to deliver room-filling sound. But there are times when you may want to keep your playing to yourself. When you’re practicing at night, for example, or when people nearby are engaged in other activities. In such cases, headphones offer a private sanctuary where you have the freedom to play however and whenever you choose. Thanks to Yamaha’s advanced binaural sampling technology, the sound you hear through your headphones is remarkably lifelike. This technology uses piano samples recorded by specialized microphones that capture locational information and other nuances discerned by the human ear. The resulting sound is so natural, so enveloping, that you’ll soon forget you’re even wearing headphones at all. (CFX Grand Voice only). There are two headphone outputs on the CLP645 so that duets can also be practiced in silence! Yamaha CLP675 Clavinova Digital Piano; Black Walnut The new CLP675 piano brings together the very best sound and features of Yamaha’s Clavinova digital piano range in a traditional piano style cabinet. Starting with the new GrandTouch piano keyboard, the CLP675 enables the player to give a truly expressive performance. The newly developed 88-key Linear Graded Hammer GrandTouch keyboard features synthetic ebony and ivory keytops. The keystop stabiliser minimises the ‘bounce’ felt on some other digital pianos when the key hits the keybed. The keys also have a deeper travel - akin to that of a concert grand piano. The CLP675 damper (sustain) pedal is equipped with a Grand Piano response system for ultra-realistic pedalling in even the most demanding pieces. The sound of THREE completely different pianos in one instrument The Yamaha CLP675 includes recreations of three World-Class pianos, chosen specifically for different styles and tastes of piano music. The legendary Yamaha CFX full concert grand piano is the pinnacle of Yamaha's tradition of acoustic piano crafting, and the CLP675 captures and recreates the power and versatility of this beautiful instrument. In contrast to the CFX piano sound, the CLP675 includes the mellow, delicate tone of the Bosendorfer Imperial. A new addition for the Clavinova CLP675 is the Yamaha SU7 upright piano voice. The SU7 is the top-of-the-range concert-quality Yamaha upright piano. Sometimes, the voice of an upright piano is more suitable for certain pieces, and the CLP675 gives you the choice of three distinctly different piano voices to suit your performance. Some of the CLP675’s piano voices are further enhanced with Yamaha’s Virtual Resonance Modelling (VRM) technology and duplex scale modelling, which reproduces string reverberations and upper register resonance like no other digital piano in the past. Other Voices For Even Greater Range Of Playing Styles The CLP675 includes a total of 36 different voices ranging from acoustic and electronic pianos, to harpsichords, organs, strings, choir, bass, guitar and vibes. All of these voices can be split or layered across the keyboard range, and also used to create complex compositions and orchestrations using the on-board 16 track song recorder. You can also record both hands independently to aid learning complex passages, or to simply play duets ‘with yourself’. Metronome & Recording Features The built-in metronome is ideal for practice, but is enhanced by the inclusion of 20 drum rhythms to add some extra feeling to your rehearsals. Your own recordings can be stored in the piano’s on-board memory, or saved to USB memory stick for sharing with your friends and sharing online. Binaural Sampling For Enhanced Headphone Output One of the most popular reasons for purchasing a digital piano is the convenience of silent practice when using headphones. Yamaha have worked hard to develop a flawless headphone experience so that playing through headphones is just as enjoyable as when listening to the instrument through it’s own powerful speaker system. BlueTooth Audio Streaming It is possible to stream audio via bluetooth from your favourite music device such as MP3 player, mobile phone or tablet. When combined with Yamaha’s wide range of music performance and tuition apps such as NoteStar, this brings a whole new level of fun and enjoyment. You can stream realistic audio backing tracks to the CLP675’s internal speaker system whilst following the digital music score on your tablet. Enhanced Speaker System The CLP675 features a powerful 210w total output amplification system which powers six individual speakers which are housed in their own dedicated speaker box. This speaker box gives a more ‘hifi like’ sound and the clarity achieved is a cut above lower models in the Clavinova range. Choice Of Cabinet Colour Options The CLP675 is available in Black Walnut, Rosewood, Satin White, Dark Walnut and the prestigious Polished Ebony finishes. The music desk on the CLP675 is fitted with clips to hold music books and sheets in place. See The CLP675 In Our Showrooms You can see and try the CLP675 piano in our fully stocked piano showrooms. Compare with alternative models from other manufacturers and ensure that you are making the right purchasing decision. The CLP675 is available to try in our Yamaha Digital Pianos Surrey showroom located at 46B Albert Road North, Reigate RH2 9EL. Yamaha CLP685 Clavinova Digital Piano; Polished White The very pinnacle of Yamaha’s Clavinova CLP range, the CLP685 brings together the very best digital piano technology from the World’s leading piano manufacturer. Grand Touch Keyboard Action Yamaha’s newly developed GrandTouch key action has a deeper travel than other models, and is similar to the feel of an acoustic grand piano. The inclusion of a key-stop stabilisier means that ‘Bounce’ is minimised when the key hits the keybed. A Selection Of The World’s Best Piano Voices In One Instrument Imagine having a selection of FOUR world-class grand and upright pianos at your fingertips - available to play whenever inspiration hits. With the CLP685 you have exactly that - four distinctly different piano voices, all recreated with maximum detail specially selected to suit all different playing styles and musical tastes. Yamaha CFX World Class Grand Piano With Binaural Sampling Yamaha’s CFX concert grand represents the pinnacle of their acoustic piano engineering and is the result of over 20 years research and development. The result is a powerful, exquisite tone across the entire dynamic range. The CFX is one of the piano voices available in the CLP685 and is also equipped with binaural sampling to enhance the playing experience through headphones. Bosendorfer Imperial Concert Grand Piano For the times when you need a more delicate, mellow tone, the Bosendorfer Imperial is the perfect instrument. Bösendorfer pianos are regarded as one of the very best makes and are often found on the concert stage. Yamaha have recreated all the nuances of the Imperial model in the CLP685, and this is a truly expressive piano tone. Yamaha C7x Studio Grand Piano The C7X provides a clear sound with a clean attack, sparkling tone, and transparent harmonies. This instrument is favoured by contemporary rock & pop as well as jazz musicians, and the CLP685 delivers this popular grand piano voice alongside the CFX and Bosendorfer sounds. Yamaha SU7 Concert Upright Voice A new addition for the Clavinova CLP685 is the Yamaha SU7 upright piano voice. The SU7 is the top-of-the-range concert-quality Yamaha upright piano. Sometimes, the voice of an upright piano is more suitable for certain pieces, and the CLP685 not only gives you the choice of the three grand pianos, but also the stunning SU7 upright. Binaural Sampling On CFX voice For Enhanced Headphone Output One of the most popular reasons for purchasing a digital piano is the convenience of silent practice when using headphones. Yamaha have worked hard on the CLP685 to develop a flawless headphone experience known as binaural sampling. With this technology, playing through headphones is just as enjoyable as when listening to the instrument through it’s own powerful speaker system. High Quality Audio System The amplification and speaker system on the CLP685 takes the heritage and technology that Yamaha have developed in their home audio systems and places it in the heart of this flagship Clavinova piano. Delivering a crisp, powerful and clean 180w sound through a 6 way speakers system, the CLP685’s sound defies its compact upright piano size. For the first time on a Yamaha digital piano, the spruce pulp used to make the speaker cones in the CLP685 is the same material Yamaha uses to make piano sound boards and the result is a natural sound quality. You can also stream audio from your MP3 player or tablet computer direct to the CLP685’s sound system, which is ideal for playing along with high quality backing tracks from apps such as Yamaha’s Notestar. Choice Of Colour Options The CLP685 is available in both Black Walnut and Polished ebony finishes. There is also the beautiful Polished White option - the first time this has been available in a CLP series instrument. Spread The Payment With Digital Piano Finance Bonners offers the choice of spreading the payment of your new CLP685 digital piano. Elsewhere on this page you will find details of the finance packages on offer for this instrument. Pay a small deposit and then pay a fixed monthly amount for the duration of the finance agreement. Yamaha CLP645 Clavinova Digital Piano; White Ash The Yamaha CLP645 is a new model introduced to the Clavinova range of digital pianos. The CLP645 is the first in the Clavinova CLP600 range to feature Yamaha's NWX Natural Wood keyboard. ~Tony White The new CLP645 is available in a choice of satin wood colours including Black Walnut, Dark Walnut, Rosewood, Satin White and White Ash. Try The CLP645 In Our Digital Piano Shops If you are undecided about which is the best digital piano for your needs, then we recommend you take some time to visit one of our digital piano showrooms.
