Viscount LEGEND '70s Artist Keyboard; 88 Keys

The Viscount Legend 70s instruments capture the iconic sound and atmosphere of iconic keyboard classics. These instruments offer amazing sound quality thanks to Viscount's physical modeling technology combined with a responsive keyboard touch.

If you are looking for authentic recreation of iconic piano and keyboard sounds of the 1970s, the viscount legend series may just be what you have been waiting for. These models are priced much cheaper than mechanical instruments, and better still, they are lightweight, which means they can be taken on the road easily.

We love that the flat top panel design means you can also mount a small synth or another keyboard on top of your Legend 70s.

Keyboard options

There are three different models available. All offer the same features and technology - it is just the keyboard length and type which differentiates the three instruments.

Starting with the compact 73 key model which has a triple-sensor hammer-action keyboard, the range also includes two 88 key models. The Artist 88 features the same keyboard as a 73 key model, whilst the Artist 88-W is equipped with a beautiful wooden, graded-hammer keyboard.

Modular system

A unique and important feature of the Legend 70s keyboards is that they are modular and can be upgraded with a variety of physical plug-in sound modules to give you the sounds that you need.

All Legend 70s instruments are equipped as standard with the electric piano and sound collection modules, so you've got plenty of voices to play right out of the box including classic EPs (Rhodes, Wurlitzer and E.Grand) as well as a huge range of high definition everyday sounds including acoustic pianos, pads, strings, brass, sampled organs, bass, tuned percussion and more.

Two additional modules can be installed in the compact 73 keyboard, whilst the 88 note versions allow three modules to be added. The sounds of the installed modules can be layered together or split across the keyboard as desired.

At the time of launch, In addition to the electric piano and sound collection modules, there are four additional modules available to upgrade your legend 70s instrument:

  • Acoustic piano
  • Synth-8 Virtual Analog Synthesizer
  • Clavi
  • External MIDI Control Module

Onboard Effects

Legend 70s instruments are equipped with high-quality digital effects including reverb, tremolo, chorus, flanger, phaser, wah, amp simulator, delay, and more. Hands-on controls give you immediate access to effect parameters so you can modify your tone during a performance.

The three-band equalizer section allows you to adjust the overall tone of the instrument to suit the venue or environment in which you are performing.

Software-based editor

Viscount offers a free app for Windows, Mac OS, and iOS devices which allows real-time adjustment and storage of all parameters available in the Legend 70s instruments. The software editor also gives access to additional sound parameters in the electric piano clavi and acoustic piano modules which are not available from the front panel of the instrument.

The Legend 70s software editor has a simple, clear user interface and makes setting up the instrument to your own individual needs quick and logical.

Song Mode

Song mode allows you to recall up to four programs quickly regardless of their memory location.
