The Hammond XK-7 series represents the most authentic portable Hammond organs ever made. Built around Hammond’s new VEM (Virtual Electro Mechanical) sound engine and featuring the new 6-contact long-key waterfall keyboards, the XK-7 range doesn’t just recreate the sound of a vintage Hammond - it finally delivers the correct playing feel and response too.
With longer keys and a vintage-correct pivot point, the keyboards respond like a real 1960s console Hammond, making techniques like smears, glissandos and expressive light-touch playing behave exactly as they should. Under the hood, the entire electro-mechanical signal path is modelled in detail — including tonewheels, leakage, foldback, transformer and valve preamp behaviour — giving you the weight, movement and character of a real Hammond without the size, weight or maintenance.
