Yamaha Arius YDP165 Digital Piano

The Yamaha YDP165 is an upgraded entry-level digital piano featuring an 88-note full-length grand piano keyboard. The Yamaha graded hammer 3 keyboard is slightly heavier at the bottom and lighter weight in the treble registers which is similar to that of an acoustic instrument. The synthetic ebony and ivory keytops give an even more realistic touch.

10 Instrument Voices

There are 10 different instrument voices built into the YDP165 including the sound of the legendary Yamaha CFX concert grand piano. You can also choose from alternative piano voices as well as harpsichord, organ, strings and more.

Great Audio Quality

The YDP165 features a 2 x 20 watts amplification system that powers two 12 cm, full-range speakers. The overall sound is further enhanced with the virtual resonance modelling light that simulates the resonances heard when playing an acoustic instrument. The intelligent acoustic control means the piano sounds superb no matter what volume it is being used at, and the stereophonic optimizer means it sounds great through headphones too.

Three Pedals

The YDP165 has three pedals just like a grand piano and the damper (sustain) pedal offers half pedalling.

Cabinet Options

The YDP165 is available in four popular cabinet finishes - satin black, rosewood, white and a contemporary white ash finish. This model includes music clips to assist with holding sheet music pages in position.

Smart Pianist App - FREE!

The YDP-165 is fully compatible with Yamaha's smart pianist app for iOS and Android devices. This app is free of charge and gives you full control of the piano using the convenience of your device's touch screen. Additional settings for the piano voices can be accessed using the app so you can alter the tone of the piano to your own personal preference.

Recording options

The built-in recorder offers two independent tracks which can be used for recording left and right hands separately, or to multitrack two different sounds together.

The USB audio interface allows you to record the piano's audio to your favourite recording software such as Apple's logic or Steinberg's Cubase, as well as many other widely available computer recording utilities.
