Yamaha Clavinova CSP Smart Pianos
The Yamaha CSP series is unlike anything Yamaha, or any other digital piano manufacturer, has ever produced before. Gone are the days when the only way to achieve a highly specified instrument with a host of useful features meant a control panel covered in unsightly buttons, knobs and sliders. The Yamaha CSP pianos access their exceptional functionality through the highly-intuitive use of an iOs or Android tablet or other smart devices, which connects simply to the music rest.
Yamaha CSP150 vs CSP170
The Yamaha CSP range consists of two models - the CSP150, and the CSP170. Both are capable of producing 692 different voices and 470 accompaniment styles, and they utilise the Smart Pianist app to give you access to all these. The main differences are in the hardware itself. The CSP150 features Yamaha's plastic GH3X Graded-hammer 3X keyboard, whilst the CSP170 has the upgraded NWX (Natural Wood X) keyboard to give an even more expressive piano touch. The CSP170 also has an upgraded amplification/speaker configuration with a total 90w output power and additional high-frequency speakers to enhance the sound. The CSP150 still sounds great with a 60w output power and just two full-range speakers, but you certainly notice the difference when comparing the models side-by-side.
