Feurich Grand Acoustic Pianos

Founded in 1851, Feurich is renowned for enduring quality and innovation when it comes to high end acoustic piano design. At Bonners Music, we are proud to be the main dealers of Feurich pianos in the country, offering you a collection of beautiful instruments from the 162, 179 and 218 ranges. These pianos will give you years of enjoyment and fulfillment, and even come with a 5 year manufacturer-backed warranty, making a Feurich purchase from Bonners Music a wonderful long term investment.

Feurich Dynamic I 162

Only 162 cm in length, the smaller models we have in stock here from Feurich stand as some of the few examples available today of a small and solidly built grand piano which delivers a complete bass tonal range. The introduction of stainless Paulello string wire is an innovation that also improves the tone and longevity of the piano. An instrument of exceptional dynamic range and clarity for its size, the Dynamic I is ideal for the accompanist or repetiteur and is well suited to small homes or apartments.

Feurich Dynamic II 179

The award winning medium sized 179 cm Feurich piano provides outstanding sound performance for its length, and has proven itself in many conservatories and small concert halls around the world. It is a powerful, well-balanced grand piano, with a characteristic warm and generous Feurich tone. The piano also has an extended soundboard surface area, helping to create that big sound and powerful bass.

Feurich Concert I 218

In use in many recording studios, as well as small and medium size concert halls around the world, the unique construction of this semi concert grand piano sets a new standard. Hammer heads by Renner of Stuttgart, AA rated quality felts from Wurzen and a first class soundboard combine to mean that the Concert I has the customary rich, warm and sonorous tone associated with Feurich, coupled with an impressive clarity and precision.

Before our Feurich pianos make it to the showroom, they go through a detailed preparation process to ensure they are sounding and performing at their absolute best. After being given time to settle after transportation to our premises, every Feurich piano undergoes a first regulation and tuning. This process ensures that all the mechanical parts are functioning correctly before the instrument is played passed to our in-house pianists for their evaluation. This preparation process is unique to Bonners in the UK, and we are confident that our Feurich pianos out-perform the same models available from other piano retailers. Feurich was founded in 1851, and became the first German piano manufacturer to use under-damper actions in upright pianos, long before its rivals. Wendl & Lung have been working with Feurich since 2010, and the partnership's motto is "Tradition & Innovation". Unlike other manufacturers all components of the piano action are designed and assembled personally by Feurich, with their experts individually monitoring each other during the entire process. Bonners holds stock of a wide range of Feurich Upright and Grand Pianos in our two piano shops. We have piano shops in Reigate Surrey and Eastbourne East Sussex. Both stores have on-site parking and are the perfect place to come and try Feurich Pianos. The flagship of Feurich's brand new Grand Piano series, and also the longest, at 218cm in length, Feurich's Semi-Concert Grand is an exceptional and unique instrument in its own right. Designed and developed in France by Stephen Paulello, the Concert I Model's unique construction has delivered a piano with astounding clarity, and an extremely impressive fullness, sustain, and tone. Feurich Concert I 218 Piano Dimensions Width 153cm Depth 218cm Height: 102cm Quality Only the finest quality components are used in the production of the Concert I 218. High quality spruce is used in the soundboard, and the large surface area, along with extra wide angles in the strings, maximises string length and speaking length. This increases the bass response, as well as tone and sustain. The Paulello rust-free strings are known for their consistency and accuracy across the entire range, and are built to last. The piano's frame is light, absorbing little sound, especially in the treble registers. This delivers a pure brilliance and clean sound. Add this to not only duplex scaling, but also triplex scaling, and the result is outstanding warmth, brilliance, and a long, clear sustain with great harmonic overtones. High quality Renner hammer head felts are used in this model, as they have been tried and tested to produce the best sound for this instrument. Built to Last Feurich's flagship model is a durable, long lasting instrument, built to withstand changes in the environment. The multi-laminated pinblock ensures resistance to climatic changes in the longterm, and provides a high degree of tuning stability. Special felts are used in the dampers, under the keys, and at all contact points, designed to retain their shape over a number of years. Light, Responsive Touch The keys on Feurich's Concert I 218 are made from solid timber, which is lighter than typical laminated keys. With little lead weight in the keys, the result is a light touch with low inertia, making it very easy to play both pianissimo and fortissimo. No plastic components are used in Feurich's piano action, as this does not provide the elasticity needed in this quality of piano. Attention to detail in the damper wires, including felts around the wires to reduce friction, add to the feeling and lightness of touch. This means you usually have multiple choice of the same model from which to choose your perfect Feurich piano. Bonners hold stock of a wide range of Feurich Upright and Grand Pianos in our two piano shops. We have piano shops in Reigate Surrey and Eastbourne East Sussex. Both stores have on-site parking and are the perfect place to come and try Feurich Pianos. Feurich 162 Piano Dimensions Width 1500mm Height 1020mm Depth 1620mm The 162 model is the most compact grand piano within the Feurich range, so is ideal for use in smaller spaces. It has been redeveloped and improved throughout the last 11 years, and as such has an outstanding sound for a piano of its size. Soundboard The overall width of the 162 is slightly wider than that on other similarly sized pianos. This maximises the surface area of the soundboard, enhancing the bass register along with the overall sound. The soundboard is made from spruce, and includes extra features designed to improve climatic stability. Frame Design The 162 model features a redesigned, light frame design. This is to allow less sound absorption, which is particularly noticeable in the treble register, generating brilliance and a clear sound. Strings The strings for this particular model were designed by Stephen Paulello, and are rust free! They are nickel plated, creating a stable and pure tone for many years to come. Duplex Scaling The strings on this model use duplex scaling, which means the strings resonate sympathetically with each note struck, adding brilliance and sparkle in the treble regions. Key Action The special Feurich key action sets this piano apart from other pianos of its size. No plastic is used in any part of the action, as this is not elastic enough to provide the feel and touch response Feurich are seeking. There is a low amount of lead weight used inside the key itself, resulting in a very low inertia when the key is struck. This gives a great dynamic range, including effortless pianissimo. Feurich 179 Grand Piano Dimensions Width 1515mm Height 1020mm Depth 1790mm The 179 model is Feurich’s best-selling grand piano. It is loved around the world for ts amazing tone and playability. The piano has been continually developed and improved over the last 11 years, leading to precision-engineered components and a design that is unbeatable at this price. Soundboard The size of the soundboard on the 179 model is equivalent to that of a grand piano 2 metres in length. This is due to an extra wide angle down the left side of the piano, maximising the surface area of the soundboard and resulting in a larger sound, particularly in the bass register. The soundboard itself is made of the highest quality spruce wood, and has also been developed so that it is stable and resistant to climate changes over a long period of time. Frame Design The 179 model features a redesigned, light frame design. This is to allow less sound absorption, which is particularly noticeable in the treble register, generating brilliance and a clear sound. The bar along front is completely missing, which is a nice feature allowing the player to view the hammers moving while playing. The multi-laminate pin block is climate resistant, adding durability. Wide angles allow more string length than you would usually see in a piano of this size, as the strings virtually touch the wooden frame. Every inch of the piano has been made use of in order to optimise the sound quality. Duplex Scaling The strings on this model use duplex scaling, which means the strings resonate sympathetically with each note struck, adding brilliance and sparkle in the treble regions. Strings The strings for this model were designed by Stephen Paulello, and are rust free! They are nickel plated, creating a stable and pure tone for many years to come. The dampening wire is entirely perpendicular; around this is the precision-engineered space for felt. This means there is no wobbling of the key or friction involved at all, making the instrument very responsive and easy to play. The key itself is made from solid timber, making it very light. Other Features LED anti-glare lamp built in to the piano Traditional music stand to allow optimum sound. Special Feurich design of pedals, sloped slightly towards the player. Layered lacquered surface, so small scratched are easily polished over Large wheels, allowing easy repositioning of the piano. No plastic is used in any part of the action, as this is not elastic enough to provide the feel and touch response Feurich are seeking. There is a low amount of lead weight used inside the key itself, resulting in a very low inertia when the key is struck. This gives a great dynamic range, including effortless pianissimo. Our musicians put the piano through its paces using a wide variety of musical styles and then collaborate with our specialist Feurich-trained piano technicians who then carry out detailed voicing and regulation to maximise the tone and performance of the piano. Bonners hold stock of a wide range of Feurich Upright and Grand Pianos in our two piano shops. We have piano shops in Reigate Surrey and Eastbourne East Sussex. Both stores have on-site parking and are the perfect place to come and try Feurich Pianos. Feurich .Dynamic II 179 Grand Piano 10 Years Warranty (when you register your purchase with Feurich) Free delivery (Ground floor, England only) Tuned, voiced & regulated before delivery First in-home tuning free of charge Piano has been voiced by German Piano Technician Carsten Shultz Expertly Tuned, Regulated & Voiced Before Delivery All Feurich pianos that are supplied by Bonners include detailed regulation and voicing by our in-house piano technicians including Carsten Shulz.Bonners are the largest stockist of Feurich pianos in the UK and we hold multiple examples of each model in our Surrey based piano warehouse & showrooms. This means you usually have multiple choice of the same model from which to choose your perfect Feurich piano. Our musicians put the piano through its paces using a wide variety of musical styles and then collaborate with our specialist Feurich-trained piano technicians who then carry out detailed voicing and regulation to maximise the tone and performance of the piano. Bonners hold stock of a wide range of Feurich Upright and Grand Pianos in our two piano shops. We have piano shops in Reigate Surrey and Eastbourne East Sussex. Both stores have on-site parking and are the perfect place to come and try Feurich Pianos.
