Kawai KDP120 White Digital Piano
The Kawai KDP120 is the entry-level model from the popular Japanese piano manufacturer with sound and performance that far exceeds its price. The previous KDP110 model was one of the most popular digital pianos that Bonners has ever sold, and the new KDP120 builds on the success with improved piano voices. Available in three colour options - black, rosewood or white. Bonners offers the piano on its own, or a range of package options that include a piano stool & headphones. The original KDP110 was popular, and the new improved KDP120 model looks set to follow its predecessor's lead. This performance and sound quality of this piano simply outweighs its price and should definitely be considered if you're looking for your first digital piano.
See & Try The KDP120 In Our Piano Stores
Nothing compares to actually getting your hands on a new instrument and the new KDP120 will be available to try in our Milton Keynes, Surrey (Reigate) and Sussex (Eastbourne) piano stores as soon as it's available. Call us on 01323 639335 to check in-store availability.
Keyboard Action
When choosing a digital piano, the 'feel' of the keyboard should be one of the most important considerations. The KDP120 features Kawai's Responsive Hammer Compact II (RHC-II) keyboard action. This keyboard has been developed to reproduce the touch of an acoustic piano and offers an authentic, responsive playing experience. The RHC-II keyboard has weighted hammers and triple sensors to capture every nuance of your performance, and also stimulates the let-off experienced when playing an acoustic grand piano.
Concert Grand Piano Voice + Powerful amplification
The KDP120 reproduces the sound of the Shigeru Kawai Concert EX piano. This is a World-Class concert grand piano voice and sounds absolutely stunning when played through the onboard 20 x 20watt sound system.
There are a total of 15 different instrument sounds including a choice of acoustic pianos for various styles of music, e.pianos, organs, strings and even synthesizer sounds. The polyphony of the KDP120 is 192 notes which means it's unlikely you'll experience notes cutting out - even when layering two voices together in 'dual-mode.'
The new low-balance volume feature intelligently adjusts the sound for playing at lower volumes, whilst still producing a full-bodied tone.
On-Board Recorder
The onboard three-song recorder allows you to record your performances. The memory capacity is 10,000 notes, which is ample for most home players. The recording feature is perfect for practising and listening back to your performance, and also for playing along with yourself in a "duet" fashion!
Bluetooth Connectivity
The KDP120 features Bluetooth MIDI for communicating with the many music-making apps available for both Apple iOS and Android devices.
Virtual Technician
The Virtual Technician feature gives you control over various characteristics of the piano sounds, meaning that you can tailor the voices to your own taste. There are also 10 VT Smart-Mode presets that alter the tone of the piano voices to save you from making changes yourself!
Reverb
The reverb effect simulates the ambience of playing in various different size rooms & spaces. Choose from Room, Lounge, Small Hall, Concert Hall, Live Hall, or Cathedral.
Pedals
The KDP120 has a Damper pedal (sustain) with Half-Pedal, Sostenuto and Soft pedals - just like an acoustic grand piano.
Connections
Two headphone outputs are available so that two people can practice/play together, MIDI (IN/OUT), and USB (to Host) connectors are also present.
