Yamaha TransAcoustic Pianos: The Best of Both Worlds

Choosing between a digital and an acoustic piano can be a tough decision for families. Yamaha TransAcoustic pianos offer a unique solution that combines the best of both worlds, providing the rich, authentic sound of an acoustic piano with the versatile, modern features of a digital instrument.

What is a Yamaha TransAcoustic Piano?

A Yamaha TransAcoustic piano is a revolutionary hybrid instrument that blends traditional acoustic piano craftsmanship with advanced digital technology. At its core, it is a beautifully crafted acoustic piano, but it also incorporates Yamaha’s cutting-edge TransAcoustic technology, allowing it to produce digital sounds without the need for external speakers.

Why Choose a Yamaha TransAcoustic Piano?

Yamaha TransAcoustic pianos offer an unparalleled combination of traditional acoustic excellence and modern digital convenience, making them the perfect choice for families who want the best of both worlds. With its authentic sound, innovative features, and versatile capabilities, a Yamaha TransAcoustic piano provides endless opportunities for learning, creativity, and enjoyment.

Key Features:

1. Authentic Acoustic Sound

  • Traditional Craftsmanship: Built with the same meticulous attention to detail as Yamaha’s renowned acoustic pianos, ensuring a rich, resonant sound and superior playability.
  • Real String Vibration: Unlike digital pianos, the TransAcoustic uses real string vibration to amplify digital sounds, providing a more natural and immersive playing experience.

2. Versatile Digital Capabilities

  • Wide Range of Voices: Access a variety of instrument sounds, including grand pianos, electric pianos, and orchestral voices, all at the touch of a button.
  • Silent Mode: Practice without disturbing others by switching to Silent Mode and using headphones, enjoying the full tonal quality of a Yamaha piano in complete privacy.
  • Volume Control: Easily adjust the volume for any playing situation, making it perfect for apartments or homes where noise levels need to be managed.

3. Innovative Technology

  • TransAcoustic Technology: TransAcoustic pianos use the soundboard to naturally amplify digital sounds, blending the richness of acoustic resonance with the versatility of digital tones.
  • Connectivity Options: Connect to smart devices and music apps for recording, playing along with backing tracks, or even receiving interactive lessons.

More Reasons To Go TransAcoustic

  • Multiple Instruments in One: With a wide range of digital sounds, the TransAcoustic piano can serve as several instruments, making it ideal for families with varying musical interests.
  • Practice Anytime: The ability to play silently with headphones means children can practice without disrupting the household, perfect for busy family schedules.
  • Interactive Features: Access to music apps and educational tools can make learning more engaging for children and beginners, enhancing their musical journey.
  • Consistent Practice: Volume control ensures consistent practice opportunities, helping students practice regularly and effectively.
  • Compact Design: Get the benefits of both acoustic and digital pianos without needing to invest in two separate instruments, saving both space and money.
  • Long-Term Investment: The durability and quality of a Yamaha acoustic piano combined with the evolving capabilities of digital technology make the TransAcoustic a smart, long-term investment for growing musical needs.

We offer a variety of flexible delivery options tailored to your location and the type of instrument you purchase. We aim to dispatch most in-stock standard-sized packages within 1 working day of receiving payment. Please note that we currently ship to the UK mainland only.

Pre-Orders and Out of Stock Items

If you order a product that is out of stock, we will contact you to confirm the lead time once we receive your order. You can also call or email us in advance of placing your order to check the current lead time for specific products and pay a small deposit to secure your place in the queue. This is especially convenient for popular or new products when demand is high.

Standard Size Packages

For standard-size packages, we use a range of third-party courier services to deliver goods as efficiently as possible. All items require someone to be present to receive the goods and provide proof of delivery. This is especially important for high-value items.

If you are not home, the courier may leave your parcel in a secure location and provide photographic proof, though this is at the courier's discretion and often not possible for high-value goods. If a delivery cannot be completed, our partners will make up to two attempts before returning the goods to our warehouse. Please be aware that a fee applies for any necessary re-delivery.

For larger items or those requiring delivery to locations such as the Scottish Highlands, offshore islands, or parts of Wales and Northern England, surcharges and longer delivery times of up to 10 days may apply.

Order Tracking

Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a confirmation email containing your tracking number and the name of the courier used. You can track your parcel directly through our partner websites:

Digital Piano & Large Item Delivery

As a specialist piano retailer, we provide two distinct tiers of service for digital piano deliveries to the UK mainland. Larger items that require specialist courier delivery are an exception to our standard despatch times; we will contact you personally to arrange these deliveries. This ensures you know exactly when your item is arriving and can be prepared to have help on hand if required to move and unpack your goods.

  • Economy Delivery: Our fastest service for digital pianos. Your instrument is delivered flat-packed in a box to your doorstep between 8am and 6pm. Because these boxes can weigh between 60kg and 120kg, you will need to have someone available to help you move the instrument into your home and sign for the delivery.
  • Premium Delivery & Setup: This premium service includes professional assembly by our experienced team. We will build your piano in your home, set up any purchased stools, and take away all packaging for recycling. We will coordinate a convenient delivery date and a two-hour time slot with you.

Acoustic Piano Deliveries

Acoustic pianos are delicate instruments that require professional handling with the utmost care. We use specialist piano delivery teams with years of experience to safely deliver upright and grand pianos. We can handle most situations, from a simple drop off to upstairs installations, and even locations where crane access is required.

Ahead of your piano delivery, we will ask you to complete our Piano Delivery Questionnaire to confirm a few details about access to your property and where the piano will be positioned. This will help us ensure your new instrument is delivered safely, efficiently, and without risk to either our team or your piano.

Removal of Existing Acoustic Pianos

If you have an old piano that you no longer require, we can arrange for its professional collection and disposal. Our specialist teams ensure the removal is handled safely without damaging your property.

  • Disposal Service: Prices for piano collection and disposal start from £99.
  • Part Exchange: If you are upgrading, we may be able to offer a part exchange value against your new purchase.

Please contact our team to discuss the specifics of your old instrument so we can provide an accurate quote and coordinate the removal with your new delivery.

Additional Services and Information

For those who prefer to collect in person, you can pick up your order from one of our warehouse locations in Eastbourne, Reigate, Milton Keynes, or Newcastle. To use this service, please contact us by phone to arrange a deposit and confirm availability, as online orders are not eligible for warehouse collection.

For specific quotes or to discuss complex delivery requirements, please contact our sales team at 01323 639335 or email sales@bonnersmusic.co.uk.
