Yamaha MX49 Version 2 Synthesizer, Black
Featuring sounds from Yamaha's Motif XS, the new and improved MX49 Synthesizer includes USB audio and MIDI, for access to Yamaha's new FM Essential Synthesizer app and Steinberg's Cubasis app for iOS. Built-in DAW and VST controls work seamlessly with Cubase AI, YC3 Organ Synthesizer VST and Prologue Analogue Synthesizer VST, compatible with either Windows or iOS. Originally available in black, the MX49 Version 2 now comes in three stylish finishes, to suit any home studio or live setup. The Yamaha MX49 Version 2 offers advanced features at remarkable affordability.
MOTIF VoicesOver 1000 sounds acquired directly from Yamaha's renowned MOTIF XS series are available on the MX49 Version 2 Synthesizer, from realistic acoustic pianos, strings and drums, to the more complex synth sounds. The new interface and category selection gives you instant and simple voice selection, with the ability to edit and save sounds onboard. The MX49 also comes equipped with VCM effects, bringing the sounds of the 1970s to life by simulating rare vintage voices such as flanger, wah and EQ.
Bridging the Gap Between Hardware & SoftwareCompatible with iOS, the "FM Essential" synthesizer app allows for voice editing, along with real-time synth performance. Connect your synth to a computer or laptop and use the headphones output to monitor its sounds, or hook it up to external PAs or studio monitor to listen to your DAW tracks. The Bi-directional interface uses audio converters to give an even better sound when using the MX49 as the output. Sounds can be recorded direct to PC, at the highest digital quality. Internal sounds, DAW parameters and VST instruments are easily controlled using solid knobs and buttons. This simple interface is matched with a remote template editor on your computer, allowing for your VSTs to be controlled by the MX49. Yamaha's MX49 Version 2 is the only synth at this price point to include a complete suite of music production and software tools. Cubase AI features 48 audio and 64 MIDI tracks, and with the built-in VST effects and notation, it is perfect for producers. Also included in the bundle are Steinberg's Prologue and Yamaha's very own YC-3B organ emulator, kicking you off with some fantastic VSTs. If the above is too high-tech for you, or if you simply want to save MX data to an external device and play files back, the MX49 also comes with USB to device. An AUX input enables you to connect a tablet or MP3 player using a mini stereo cable.
Performance ModeNever has creating real-time performances been easier! Inspired by the MOTIF series, Performance Mode enables you to combine two voices using the one-touch Layer & Split buttons. Each button features its own intelligent arpeggiator and dedicated drum parts, giving the feel of fronting a full band. The MX49 Version 2 houses 128 Performances, all user-editable and programmed with today's current club beats.
Design and TouchWhere other keyboard controllers at this price range lack in keyboard quality or originality, Yamaha's MX49 employs their very own crafted keyboard, giving you great touch at an affordable price. With a compact and light design, weighing only 3.8kg, the MX49 can easily be transported and fit into the most compact studio setups.
