Guitars

At Bonners Guitar Shop in Sussex, we’re passionate about guitars with an extensive range in stock and ready for you to try out before you buy. With 10,000 sq ft of floor space, we have one of the most comprehensive selections of guitars in the South East, from a beginner’s acoustic guitar to help your child take their first musical steps, to workhorse amplifierselectric guitars or bass guitars for established musicians and bands.
We have over 35 years of selling guitars in Sussex, so whether you’re looking for your first real six-string, need a new Boss Loop Station to get that Ed Sheeran groove or a Marshall amp to set light to that festival gig, we can help. We're specialists in everything to do with guitars and can help you find the perfect tone to suit your playing style.
Huge range of guitars to try and buy
At our shop in Eastbourne, we stock a comprehensive range of leading guitar brands, with makes and models to suit all abilities, styles, and budgets. Whether you want to pick up an affordable acoustic guitar to strum around a campfire, or you're looking for that ultimate Fender Special Edition, we've got precisely what you need.

Dedicated to helping new guitarists get started
Our starter guitars include complete electric guitar starter kits from Encore which give you everything you need to get gigging – guitar, case, amp, stand - and a range of essential accessories including strings, strap, pick and lead. Or there are amp and Strat guitar sets from Squier – an excellent entry into the magical world of Fender. Of course, we also have standalone electric guitars at affordable prices from Vintage, Encore and Squier.

One of the most extensive ranges of acoustic guitars in Sussex and surrounds
Classical aficionados will love our selection of classical and Spanish guitars, from affordable, nylon string acoustics for new players to performance and studio models for more advanced guitarists. We're also one of the UK's only stockists of Raimundo classical guitars. This award-winning company have been hand-making their superior quality guitars in Spain for over 50 years.

Our acoustic steel string range covers a vast array of budgets and styles, from entry level Tanglewood models through to electro-acoustic Sigma and Yamaha guitars. For those who want to push the boat out for something special, we have a selection of prestigious Martin guitars to take your playing into the stratosphere.

Next level electric guitars
For those looking for a more striking look, improved playability or a more defined sound we stock the PRS SE series, Gretsch Electromatic and Streamliner and Ibanez. Each has its own distinctive look and feel – Gretsch with its classic rockabilly look and twang, maple-top PRS (including baritone and 7-string models) and solid body, rock and metal icons Ibanez. For the collectors, we are also one of the few stockists of Rickenbacker guitars in the South East. Visit us now to hear that unique jangle that defined Sixties rock 'n roll.

Fender – from first guitar to ultimate showstopper
We need to make a special mention of our range of Fender guitars, amplifiers and effects pedals. We have over 50 Fender electric and acoustic guitars in stock and over 200 available to order. You'll find all the classic models including Strats, Telecasters, Jaguars and Jazzmasters at all price points from Fender Player through to rarities like the new-for-2019 American Flame Top Strat.

Let's not forget the bass guys
No band would be complete without the bassist – they hold it all together (in our experience, usually with a great deal of patience.) Again, we've got the Fender classics (Jazz and Precision) in various appointments, as well as more unusual models like the Mustang bass (check out the surf green if you want a stand-out look.) There's also Yamaha, Music Man and Squier proving you don't have to break the bank to make the funk.

Options to suit every budget
We offer part exchange options (depending on the instrument you want to exchange) as well as finance options to make it even easier for you to buy the guitar you want. Whether you want an affordable first guitar to learn on, or are a professional musician looking for a particular sound, we can help. If you're a left-handed player, then we've even got a selection of guitars specially designed for you including Fender, Gretsch and PRS.
