The Construction
This Limited Edition '56 Stratocaster from the Custom Shop represents a sophisticated marriage of 50's and 60's design, and with just enough contemporary components to make this guitar gig-able and reliable. The finishing of the stunning Aged Pewter lacquer provides the look and feel of a showroom-clean vintage guitar that has been preserved in a time capsule since 1956. As a dedicated left-handed build, it offers southpaw players a rare opportunity to own a boutique-level piece that is usually reserved for right-handed production runs.
The foundation of this guitar is a premium roasted alder body that has been specifically selected for its light weight and resonant properties. By roasting the wood, Fender removes excess moisture and impurities, resulting in a more stable platform that mimics the tonal characteristics of well-aged vintage lumber.
