Gibson USA ES-335 Satin; Smokehouse Satin

As the cornerstone of the Gibson ES lineup since its introduction in 1958, the Gibson ES-335 immediately set an industry standard for semi-hollow instrument performance. Designed to blend the acoustic warmth and resonance of a hollowbody with the sustain and feedback rejection of a solidbody, this model retains over 60 years of foundational guitar design heritage.

The body is constructed from a 3-ply maple/poplar/maple top, back, and rims, anchored by a solid maple centerblock that reduces unwanted feedback. It features a mahogany neck carved to a hand-rolled Rounded "C" profile, topped with a rosewood fingerboard featuring acrylic dot inlays and 22 medium jumbo frets. Hardware includes a lightweight aluminum ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge, an aluminum stopbar tailpiece, and Vintage Deluxe tuning machines with Keystone buttons.

Vintage-Calibrated Electronics

• Calibrated T-Type Humbuckers: Equipped with a pair of Gibson Calibrated T-Type humbucking pickups designed to deliver classic ES tone with balanced output and clear articulation.

• Hand-Wired Control Assembly: Integrated with hand-wired volume and tone potentiometers for reliable, linear control over signal attenuation across all pickup combinations.

• Feedback-Resistant Core: The solid maple centerblock isolates body vibrations, allowing high-gain performance without low-frequency howl.

Classic Build & Hardware

• Precision Intonation: The lightweight aluminum ABR-1 bridge and aluminum stopbar tailpiece maximize sustain and acoustic transfer while maintaining accurate setup geometry.

• Ergonomic Playability: A hand-rolled Rounded "C" mahogany neck profile provides a comfortable hand fit across the entire fretboard.

• Protective Satin Finish: Sealed in a thin satin nitrocellulose lacquer finish that lets the body tonewoods resonate freely and includes a Gibson hardshell case for transport and storage.

Crafted in the USA, the Gibson ES-335 DOT combines traditional Gibson manufacturing standards with dependable, road-ready hardware. Engineered for long-term structural stability and tonal flexibility, it is built to serve professional players across jazz, blues, rock, and studio applications.
