The Hammond XK-4 is a lightweight single-manual drawbar organ keyboard that has the sound and feel of a vintage tonewheel instrument. Weighing in at just over 9kg, the XK4 is the perfect instrument for gigging musicians who want the classic Hammond sound on stage in a portable form. The XK4 is built around the new MTW-2 modelled tonewheel sound engine - Hammond's most advanced electronic organ sound source to date.
The XK4 is an absolute joy to play and sets the bar even higher for modern drawbar instruments. Other brands may have tried to copy, but nothing comes close to the authentic sound, and robust build quality of a genuine Hammond instrument.
The XK4 captures the charm and individuality of vintage instruments by simulating imperfections such as pitch and volume fluctuations, as well as tonewheel interactions and leakage. The newly designed Leslie speaker simulator adds an accurate reproduction of routing the sound through various classic rotary speakers. The XK4 even simulates the multi-contact delay experienced when playing the keys of original tonewheel organs. All these components work together to form the unmistakable vintage tone and feel of a classic Hammond B3.

3 Part Organ
The 61-note waterfall keyboard can be split to give different drawbar tone combinations for upper & lower parts, and there is a dedicated bass part which can be played on the keyboard or by attaching one of Hammond's MIDI pedalboards for a true organ experience. All three parts can be addressed on different channels over MIDI.
Variety Of Organ Types
As well as the popular Hammond Tonewheel sound, the XK4 has four additional types of organ voice to recreate the most popular sounds of different organ manufacturers' instruments: Vox, Farfisa, Ace and Classical Pipe.
Digital Effects
Digital effects, including Vibrato & Chorus, various multi-effects (you can have two MFX active simultaneously), Overdrive, Matching Transformer, Leslie simulator, Equalizer and reverb are all available to create unique sounds. A mater equalizer is also on hand to alter the instrument's overall tone.
Storage Of Your Own Sounds
It is possible to store 100 of your own patches within the XK4, which can be quickly accessed using the FAVOURITES buttons. You can also store 4 of your own custom tonewheel setups and eight individual Leslie speaker cabinet settings. Use the USB to device connector to save even more setups to external memory (not supplied).
Modern Connectivity Options
The XK4 is equipped with a USB to Host connector for direct connection to personal computers and standard 5-pin MIDI IN & OUT sockets for linking with other MIDI-equipped musical instruments, including pedalboards.
There are left & right audio outputs and an individual rotary output for sending the sound to an external rotary speaker simulator. The 11-pin Leslie connector is compatible with the latest Leslie speakers, including the 2101, 2103, 3300 and new 142 & 122 Heritage models.
The stereo AUX-IN connector allows external sound sources, such as MP3 players and mobile devices, to be mixed with the XK4's own sound output.
You can add the optional CU1 Half-moon switch for an authentic vintage experience, or Leslie fast/slow speeds can be controlled with the optional footswitch. There are also connectors for Damper Pedal and Expression Pedals. We recommend the optional Hammond EXP50J as the ideal expression pedal for the XK4.

We aim to dispatch most in-stock standard-sized items within 1 working day of receiving payment. Larger instruments and specialist deliveries may require additional scheduling time, and our team will contact you directly to arrange them.
Please note that we currently deliver to UK mainland addresses only.
Pre-Orders & Out of Stock Items
If you order a product that is temporarily out of stock, we will contact you as soon as possible to confirm the expected lead time.
If you would like to check availability before placing your order, our sales team will be happy to help. For many popular or newly released products, we can also take a small deposit to reserve your place in the queue ahead of new stock arriving.

Digital Piano Deliveries
As a specialist piano retailer, we offer two levels of delivery service for digital pianos and larger boxed instruments.
Because many digital pianos weigh between 60kg and 120kg, these deliveries are handled differently from standard parcels.
Economy Delivery
Our Economy Delivery service provides fast mainland UK delivery of your piano in its original flat-packed carton.
- Delivery is typically made between 8am and 6pm
- The piano will be delivered to your doorstep or ground floor entrance
- Assembly is not included
- You will need assistance available to help move the instrument into your property
Delivery Charges - New Digital Pianos
Delivery charges for new boxed digital pianos range from FREE to £49, depending on postcode area.
Some lower-value products supplied in particularly large cartons may carry a delivery charge of £25, which will be clearly shown at checkout.
Agency-Supplied Digital Pianos
Certain digital pianos are supplied directly by the manufacturer on an agency basis. Delivery charges for these products range from FREE to £175, depending on product type and delivery location.
Premium Delivery & Assembly Service
Our Premium Delivery & Assembly Service includes professional in-home setup by our experienced piano delivery team.
This service includes:
- Delivery into your home
- Full assembly of the piano and stand*

Removal & Disposal of Existing Acoustic Pianos
If you have an existing acoustic piano that you no longer require, we can often arrange professional removal and disposal.

Assembly Charges
Professional in-home assembly charges range from FREE to £250, depending on postcode area and the make and model of the instrument.

Acoustic Piano Deliveries
Acoustic pianos require specialist handling and are delivered by experienced piano moving teams.
We can accommodate a wide range of delivery situations including:

Standard ground floor delivery to most UK mainland postcodes is FREE.

Piano Delivery Questionnaire
Prior to delivery, we will ask you to complete a short Piano Delivery Questionnaire. This allows us to assess access arrangements and ensure the safe delivery and positioning of your instrument.
This helps protect both your property and your piano whilst ensuring our delivery team arrives fully prepared.
Removal & Disposal of Existing Acoustic Pianos
If you have an existing acoustic piano that you no longer require, we can often arrange professional removal and disposal.
Disposal Service
Professional piano disposal services start from £99, depending on location and access conditions.
Part Exchange
If you are upgrading your piano, we may also be able to offer a part exchange allowance against your new instrument.

Warehouse Collection
We offer FREE collection from our warehouse locations in:
