Kawai K600 AURES 2 Hybrid Upright Piano; Polished Ebony
Kawai's flagship upright piano stands at 134cm and boasts one of the most impressive sounds you will hear in an upright - one to rival many smaller grands. The Duplex scaling across all the strings adds resonance and sparkle through all registers and makes for an exquisite and immersive playing experience. If you are looking for a premium upright piano to suit even the most discerning pianist, this should be a strong contender. Kawai’s AURES 2 system opens up a whole world of digital options, that can also be merged with the acoustic instrument itself. Hearing Kawai’s SK-EX concert grand through the wooden soundboard is an impressive sound, and one of my favourite features to make use of is merging a digital sound, such as slow strings, with the acoustic piano itself, giving a tremendous resonance and overtones beyond what most instruments are capable of. You can also play along to backing tracks through the soundboard using the Bluetooth Audio function.
Introducing the brand new Kawai K600 Aures 2 hybrid upright piano. The Kawai K600 Aures 2 piano is an identical instrument to the Kawai K600 premium acoustic upright piano but has the additional benefit of the built-in Aures 2 Hybrid Technology.
What Does AURES 2 Mean? The name AURES 2 stands for the blending of AUDIO and RESONANCE. Kawai Aures 2 instruments are fitted with a cutting edge resonance system which uses the soundboard of the Kawai Upright piano to deliver high-quality audio without adding external speakers.
The K600 Aures 2 plays and responds as a normal acoustic upright piano, but can be played 'silently' with headphones when you wish to practice without disturbing other people in the household. In addition to this, the Aures 2 piano features the same advanced digital technology featured in Kawai's flagship digital pianos which offers a huge range of different digital piano voices, as well as numerous other instrument and orchestral sounds.
The 'digital' piano sound can also be heard through built-in transducer speakers which are attached to the piano soundboard. This unique technology creates a vibrant, lively sound using the natural wood material of the piano. The digital piano sound engine can be mixed with the traditional sound of the acoustic piano to create sound layers never before heard from an acoustic instrument.
To summarise, the K600 Aures 2 piano can be played as a high-quality acoustic piano, a Kawai 'Anytime' piano for silent practice, or as a hybrid piano - mixing the best features of digital and acoustic instruments together to create completely new sounds!
Features Of The Kawai K600 PianoThe K600 is the tallest model in the K series and as such, you can expect excellent tonal quality and performance, comparable to that of many grand pianos. Featuring key elements of other K series models, such as Kawai's Millenium III Upright Action, Duplex Scaling, extended keys with Neotexz surfaces, and mahogany core hammers, the K600 model builds on this to deliver an exceptional instrument. The Duplex Scaling is improved, and agraffes are used to ensure more efficient transmission of sound from the strings to the soundboard, allowing the strings to vibrate in a more controlled way, improving the dynamics and ensuring a more successful support.
