Kawai KG2E Grand Piano
Year: Circa 1989
Serial Number: 1858065
Finish: Polished Ebony
Length: 178cm
Manufactured in: Japan by Kawai
Location: Bonners Piano Centre, Milton Keynes
About This Piano
This pre-owned Kawai KG2E grand piano dates from circa 1989 and is in good cosmetic condition. Manufactured in Japan by Kawai, it belongs to the later generation of the company’s long-running KG Series of grand pianos.
At 178cm in length, the KG2E offers a useful middle ground between a compact baby grand and a larger professional instrument. Its size makes it a practical choice for the home, teaching studio or rehearsal room while providing the layout and playing experience of a full grand piano.
The KG2E has an 88-note keyboard and three pedals, including a sostenuto pedal. As tone and touch vary between individual pre-owned instruments, we recommend playing this piano in person and comparing it with the other grands available in our Milton Keynes showroom.
Meticulously Prepared by Bonners
Our technicians have carefully prepared this piano both inside and out, and it presents in very good cosmetic condition for its age.
The piano has completed workshop preparation by our in-house technical team, ready for its next owner.
The result is a professionally prepared grand piano that can be played and compared in our Milton Keynes showroom.
Why Choose the Kawai KG2E?
The KG2E is a strong choice for pianists looking for a Japanese-built grand piano with more scale than a compact baby grand without requiring the room needed for a larger performance instrument. Its 178cm cabinet is well suited to regular home practice, teaching and ensemble work.
This piano is a great alternative to buying a brand-new Kawai GX2 or Yamaha C2X. The 180cm GX2 is the closest current Kawai model by size, while the 173cm Yamaha C2X occupies a comparable medium-sized grand category for homes and teaching studios.
Why Buy a Pre-Owned Piano from Bonners?
Buying a used piano is very different from buying most second-hand products – what matters isn't simply its age, but its condition, how it has been maintained and, importantly, how well it has been prepared before it reaches its next home.
At Bonners, every pre-owned acoustic piano is thoroughly inspected and prepared by our technicians in our own on-site workshops, regardless of its age or the amount of work it needs. Our used pianos are also sold with a warranty for added peace of mind.
Our showrooms are relaxed, friendly places where you're welcome to spend time playing and comparing different pianos side by side, with no pressure to make a decision. Where possible, we'll help you compare a pre-owned piano with other instruments around a similar price, size or level so you can hear and feel the differences for yourself.
We're musicians ourselves and genuinely love these instruments. Our priority isn't simply to sell you a piano – it's to help you find the piano that feels and sounds right for you. That support continues after your purchase, with experienced customer service and after-sales care if you need us.
We offer UK-wide piano delivery, 0% interest finance options and attractive part-exchange allowances against your existing piano.
To find out more about this Kawai KG-2E, speak to one of our piano specialists or visit us in-store. We’ll be happy to answer any questions and give you the opportunity to experience the piano for yourself.
