Korg NAUTILUS 73 Keyboard Workstation
Kronos Workstation DNANautilus is a new synthesizer workstation from Korg and shares many sound creation features with their flagship Kronos instrument. Nautilus features the same raw sound quality and premium keyboard feel as Kronos, but with a new simplified control surface, and a re-designed 7-inch TFT TouchView WVGA graphical interface & operating system.
Nautilus loses the KARMA algorithmic musical effect generation technology found in Kronos but features a unique set of rotary encoders which can be click-pushed in 'flush' to the body of the instrument for safe travel purposes. Nautilus is definitely a synth keyboard made with the discerning performing musician in mind.
Free M1 SoundPack
Korg are excited to bring the sound of the legendary M1 to Nautilus. For free! The pack includes the full complement of 100 programs, 100 combis, and the original demo songs first seen and heard in M1.
M1 is more powerful than ever in Nautilus
In addition to being able to play the full content of M1 within Nautilus, it is also possible to take advantage of the huge evolution in technological and musical power it represents. This includes powerful effects, drum tracks, arpeggiators, smooth sound transition, huge polyphony (M1 had 16 notes!), 16-part combis (M1 had 8), 32-track audio and MIDI sequencing, immersive ease of use with real-time controls and colour touchscreen, and access to 9 other unique sound engines.
I've always loved the Kronos, but some would say it has more features than regular keyboard performers require. Enter Nautilus. Same sound quality and rugged build quality - everything a stage or studio performer needs. And cheaper too!
Part Exchange Your Keyboard
Do you already own a keyboard that you would like to trade-in for a new Korg Nautilus? Email us details of what you have to partex@bonners.co.uk and we will email you back a part exchange price immediately. Let us know the condition of your instrument and if you have the original manufacturer box and packaging. We can usually arrange the collection of your keyboard at the same time as delivery of a new Nautilus to your home.
Three Keyboard Length OptionsKorg Nautilius is available in three different keyboard lengths - 88 Weighted RH3 Hammer Action, and 61 & 73 note premium quality syn-weighted keyboards. The keys are velocity-sensitive.
Nine Synthesis TypesThe Nautilus range of keyboards features nine different types of synthesis to give you the best possible sound creation options whatever your chosen musical genre. SGX-2 Premium Acoustic Piano. EP-1 Electric Piano, HD-1 High Definition Sample Based Synth, AL-1 Analog Modelling, CX-3 Tonewheel Organ, STR-1 Plucked String Physical Modelling, MOD-7 Waveshaping VPM Synth, MS20EX Analog Modelling, and PolySixEX Analog Modelling.
MIDI Sequencer & Multitrack Audio RecordingSince the days of the M1 Music Workstation back in 1988, Korg has produced keyboards which are truly capable of producing a complete track from start to finish. Nautilus continues pushes the boundaries of onboard recording features even further with a 16 track MIDI sequencer plus 16-tracks of audio playback (4 track simultaneous record) recorder. The recorder allows complete mixer automation of volume, pan, EQ, FX sends, BPM and more. Auto Song Setup function makes it easy to get a recording as soon as inspiration hits!
Preset PCM Memory496MB ROM / Disk 2.3GB of multi-samples including 1771 Multisamples and 3955 Drum samples in ROM. Onboard expansion PCM Libraries include EXs301 German2 D Piano, EXs302 Italian F piano, EXs303 Japanese Upright Piano, EXs304 Prepared Piano, EXs305 Historical Keyboards, EXs306 Vintage Keyboards 2, EXs307 Synths & Strings, EXs308 Guitar Collection, EXs309 Bass Collection, EXs 310 World Essence, EXs211 Background Loops, EXs312 SFX & Hits, EXs313 Found Percussions and EXs314 Expansion Drums.
Set List FeatureThe Korg Set List feature makes it easy to arrange and select programs, combinations and songs quickie - for instance during live performance. A Set List can contain up to 128 different patches/songs arranged in the order you need for a gig or a studio recording session. A total of 128 Set Lists can be created and stored in the memory of Nautilus. Better still, Nautilus features the same patch remain feature found in Kronos which means the sound does not 'cut off' when changing between different programs and combinations.
User Sampling FeatureThere is approx. 2GB PCM sample RAM available, dependent upon how many Expansion PCM libraries are loaded. By default, the Nautilus loads approx 1.2GB of expansion sounds when shipped from the factory, but these can be erased for users to laid their own samples. Sampling is carried out at either 16-bit/48kHz directly into the user RAM, or up to 24-Bit/48kHz onto the built-in hard drive. Maximum sampling time to the disk is 879MB at 16-bit. Useful sample editing such as time stretch, time slice, crossfade loop and other options are available.
EffectsThere are 197 effect types which can be assigned to 12 insert effects, two master effects and two total effects.
Quick Layer/ Quick Split FunctionQuick Layer allows you to choose two programs and split or layer them across the keyboard. Search for sounds via category/bank/name and adjust the octave shift of either voice independently. This is a really simple way of creating simple sound combinations on the fly. You can even choose the upper and lower key window for the layered voice which means, for instance, that layered strings only sound in the higher registers of the keyboard.
Drum TrackA drum track can be assigned to any combination or program. Select from 1272 preset patterns, or record up to 1000 of your own which can be used to provide inspiration when practising or searching for new ideas. Patterns created in sequencer mode can be converted to drum track patterns.
Outputs & InputsNautilus has a total of six audio outputs on ¼" Balanced TRS jack sockets. L/MON, R & Individual 1-4. There are a ¼" headphone output and two audio inputs on ¼" balanced jacks. USB Type-A & B ports are provided, plus MIDI In, Out & Thru.
Disk DriveA built-in 60GB SSD provides storage for sounds, songs, samples and setups.
