Hammond CU-1 Leslie Control Switch
Add authentic hands-on rotary control to your Hammond setup with the CU-1 Leslie Control Switch. Instantly recognisable by its classic half-moon shape, this official Hammond switch assembly delivers the traditional tactile experience organists expect when controlling Leslie speed.
Designed for seamless integration with modern Hammond instruments, the CU-1 controls the rotary speeds of the internal digital Leslie found in the XK Pro System, XK-7, XK-5, XK-3, XK-3c, XK-1c, SK-2, SKX, SK PRO and SKX-Pro. It can also be used to control the speed of any external Leslie speaker connected to compatible units, making it an essential performance accessory for players who rely on real-time rotary manipulation.
The CU-1 mounts securely to the organ’s front rail using the supplied thumbscrews, positioning the switch exactly where players expect it for quick, intuitive access. Installation is straightforward, and the unit can be easily removed for safe transport, making it ideal for gigging musicians as well as permanent studio or home installations.
True to Hammond heritage, the switch is finished in a dark brown colour, closely styled on the original half-moon Leslie switches supplied with Hammond organs throughout the 1960s. This vintage-inspired look not only complements classic console aesthetics but also brings a familiar visual and tactile reference point to modern digital systems.
With three distinct positions, players can move effortlessly between:
-
Fast (Tremolo) for high-energy passages and solos
-
Slow (Chorale) for warm, spacious textures
-
Stop for dramatic breaks and tonal contrast
