Roland HP704 Digital Piano Dark Rosewood
The Roland HP704 digital piano is designed for beginner and intermediate piano players who wish to invest in an instrument which will grow with their playing ability thus reducing the need to upgrade in a short period of time.
I couldn't believe the sound quality of the HP704 and it's worth the extra investment over the HP702 for the PHA-50 hybrid keyboard action alone. One of my favourite mid-range digital pianos.
Housed in a slightly taller cabinet then the lower range HP-702 model, the HP704 is equipped with Roland's PHA50 hybrid key action which utilises a combination of synthetic materials and natural wood for durability. The keys of the PHA50 keybed are slightly longer than those of the PHA4 standard, which allows for greater control and more expressive performance.
The HP704 is available in five popular cabinet finishes: Charcoal Black, Dark Rosewood, Light Oak, Satin White and high gloss Polished Ebony
SuperNATURAL Piano Sound
The acclaimed sound of the Roland SuperNATUAL piano voice has become a firm favourite with professional musicians and teachers all over the World. This piano voice is derived from a mixture of traditional sampling (recording) and computer-generated modelling techniques to create a pure tone which is suited to all styles of piano music.
Furthermore, the SuperNATURAL piano tones can be modified using the Piano Designer function to alter characteristics such as damper resonance, string resonance, pedal noise, ambience, tuning and more. You really can create your own unique piano voice with the HP704.
Traditional Keyboard Touch
The HP704 is fitted with the acclaimed PHA-50 key action. This key action is manufactured using a combination of wood outer sides, and a synthetic material core. This gives the best of both worlds - traditional natural materials for look and feel, and synthetic parts for maximum reliability over many years of performance.
High-Quality Speaker System
To give the best experience possible in a mid-range instrument, the HP704 is equipped with a 30w + 30w amplification system, using Roland's Acoustic projection System to drive four speakers which have been placed within the cabinet to immerse the player in sound.
High-Quality Headphone Output
For times when you want to play the piano without disturbing others in your household, it is possible to plug in headphones (up to two sets for duet playing). The headphone output is enhanced with 3D Ambience Technology to give a surround sound experience.
