Vintage Advance AV6H Electric Guitar; Vintage White | Second Hand
An HSS-configured electric guitar featuring a Bubinga heel extension, custom Wilkinson electronics, and progressive tone-shaping controls.
The Vintage Advance Series focuses on combining classic body shapes with refined structural and electronic modifications. Designed in collaboration with Trev Wilkinson, the AV6H is engineered to provide expanded tonal flexibility and reliable tuning performance beyond traditional triple-single-coil layouts.
Constructed with a solid American alder body, the AV6H pairs a satin-finished hard maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard over a 25.5-inch scale length. The neck joint features an extended Bubinga heel block to maximize mechanical transfer into the body. Hardware includes 22 frets, an Ivory/Graphite top nut, nickel-plated Wilkinson WJ05 E-Z-Lok tuning machines, and a Wilkinson WV6SB vibrato bridge equipped with a steel sustain block.
Key Features
-
Optimized Pickup Configuration: Features two Wilkinson WHS Alnico single-coil pickups in the neck and middle positions, slightly overwound to match the higher output of the WHHB bridge humbucker.
-
Variable Roll Control: Includes a continuous potentiometer that allows the bridge humbucker to be gradually rolled back to a single-coil circuit for expanded pickup voicing.
-
5-Way Switching: Standard selector switch provides traditional pickup combinations across the HSS configuration.
-
Bubinga Heel Extension: Integrated wood extension at the neck joint enhances mechanical coupling between the neck and body for increased sustain and structural rigidity.
-
WV6SB Vibrato System: Utilizes a 5+1 mounting design paired with a solid steel sustain block to ensure pitch return accuracy and consistent tone transfer.
-
E-Z-Lok Tuners: Patented staggered string post heights maintain optimal break angles across the nut without requiring string trees.
