Yamaha C3 Grand Piano
Year: Circa 1990
Finish: Polished Ebony
Length: 186cm
Serial Number: 4780456
Manufactured in: Japan
Location: Bonners Piano Centre, Milton Keynes
About This Piano
This pre-owned Yamaha C3 grand piano was manufactured in Japan circa 1990. The C3 is one of Yamaha’s best-known grand piano models, offering a useful step up in size from a compact baby grand without requiring the space of a full concert instrument.
At 186cm in length, the C3 gives its strings and soundboard more room than a smaller grand. This generally allows greater depth in the bass and a broader range between quiet and powerful playing, making the model a strong choice for regular practice, teaching and more advanced repertoire.
The polished ebony cabinet has a clean, traditional appearance that suits a living room, teaching studio or dedicated music space.
Meticulously Prepared by Bonners
Our technicians have carefully prepared this piano both inside and out.
The piano has been fully serviced and tuned, with the action regulated to provide an even and responsive touch across the keyboard. The hammers have also been voiced to help maintain a consistent balance throughout the registers.
The result is a well-prepared instrument ready for regular playing in its next home.
Why Choose the Yamaha C3?
The Yamaha C3 is an excellent choice for committed students, teachers and experienced pianists who want the wider musical range of a medium-sized grand piano. Its 186cm length gives it more room for tonal development than Yamaha’s smaller grand models, while still allowing it to fit comfortably into many homes and teaching spaces.
For buyers considering a quality pre-owned grand, the C3 is well worth comparing with similar instruments from Kawai and other established Japanese makers. This piano combines a practical size with the musical capacity needed for lessons, regular practice and a broad range of repertoire.
Why Buy a Pre-Owned Piano from Bonners?
Buying a used piano is very different from buying most second-hand products – what matters isn't simply its age, but its condition, how it has been maintained and, importantly, how well it has been prepared before it reaches its next home.
At Bonners, every pre-owned acoustic piano is thoroughly inspected and prepared by our technicians in our own on-site workshops, regardless of its age or the amount of work it needs. Our used pianos are also sold with a warranty for added peace of mind.
Our showrooms are relaxed, friendly places where you're welcome to spend time playing and comparing different pianos side by side, with no pressure to make a decision. Where possible, we'll help you compare a pre-owned piano with other instruments around a similar price, size or level so you can hear and feel the differences for yourself.
We're musicians ourselves and genuinely love these instruments. Our priority isn't simply to sell you a piano – it's to help you find the piano that feels and sounds right for you. That support continues after your purchase, with experienced customer service and after-sales care if you need us.
We offer UK-wide piano delivery, 0% interest finance options and attractive part-exchange allowances against your existing piano.
To find out more about this Yamaha C3, speak to one of our piano specialists or visit us in-store. We’ll be happy to answer any questions and give you the opportunity to experience the piano for yourself.
