The CSP170 is fitted with Yamaha’s NWX (Natural Wood X) keyboard with synthetic ebony and ivory keytops, escapement to enable exceptional expression in piano performances. There are two main choices of piano sounds available in the CSP170 - the mighty Yamaha CFX concert grand, and the Bösendorfer Imperial. Both of these piano tones work well for different styles of music - the CFX is a bright and powerful sound with exquisite top register, whilst the Bösendorfer Imperial is renowned for being more delicate and perfect for romantic classical pieces.
Three Pedals - Just Like An Acoustic Grand Piano
The CSP170 has three pedals which behave just like those found on a traditional grand piano - sustain, soft and sostenuto. When the additional features are being controlled through your tablet device, the pedals can be assigned to different functions such as start/stop, glide, expression and more!
Display & Control Digital Music Scores On Your Device
When playing along to backing tracks and midi files etc on the CSP170, it is possible to display the printed music score on the screen of your connected tablet device. Lyrics and chord symbols can also be shown.
Headphone Mode
When a set of headphones is connected to one of the headphones out jacks, the sound of the CSP170’s speaker system is muted and can only be heard by the person wearing the headphones. This means that piano practice can be done without disturbing other members of the household. There are two headphone sockets for teacher/pupil scenarios or for duet performances. The headphone output is further enhanced by the implementation of Yamaha’s binaural sampling technology on the CFX piano sound. This technology gives the impression of surround sound through the headphones in order to give a realistic experience whether through the internal speaker system or when practising using headphones.

There is a dedicated microphone input for when you want to sing along, and lyrics can be displayed on the screen of a connected tablet computer. Accompaniment Styles

Our Premium Delivery & Assembly Service includes professional in-home setup by our experienced piano delivery team.
This service includes:
- Delivery into your home
- Full assembly of the piano and stand*
- Set up of a matching stool (where applicable)
- Positioning of the instrument
- Removal and recycling of packaging

Assembly Charges
Professional in-home assembly charges range from FREE to £250, depending on postcode area and the make and model of the instrument.

Acoustic Piano Deliveries
Acoustic pianos require specialist handling and are delivered by experienced piano moving teams.
We can accommodate a wide range of delivery situations including:
- Ground floor deliveries
- Stair access
- Difficult access installations
- Crane and specialist lifting access where required

Standard ground floor delivery to most UK mainland postcodes is FREE.

Piano Delivery Questionnaire
Prior to delivery, we will ask you to complete a short Piano Delivery Questionnaire. This allows us to assess access arrangements and ensure the safe delivery and positioning of your instrument.
This helps protect both your property and your piano whilst ensuring our delivery team arrives fully prepared.
Removal & Disposal of Existing Acoustic Pianos
If you have an existing acoustic piano that you no longer require, we can often arrange professional removal and disposal.
Disposal Service
Professional piano disposal services start from £99, depending on location and access conditions.
Part Exchange
If you are upgrading your piano, we may also be able to offer a part exchange allowance against your new instrument.

Warehouse Collection
We offer FREE collection from our warehouse locations in:
