Second Hand Yamaha U3 Upright Piano in Polished Black; Circa 1976
This Yamaha U3 exemplifies why this model has remained the professional upright of choice for over fifty years. The substantial cabinet and extended string length deliver a tonal warmth and projection that smaller instruments lack. A superb instrument for advanced repertoire and professional use.
This Yamaha U3 has received thorough preparation from our skilled in-house technicians to ensure it performs to professional standards. The piano has been fully serviced with careful attention to voicing, regulation, and tuning, achieving an even touch and well-balanced tone throughout. Our cabinet specialist has also refined the polished black finish to ensure this instrument looks lovely.
Professional Upright:
The U3 stands as Yamaha's professional upright piano, combining over a century of Japanese craftsmanship with precision engineering. At 131cm, it offers the tonal depth and clarity unmatched by many other instruments.
Extended Bass String Length:

Robust Construction:
Built to withstand the demands of institutional use, the U3 features robust construction throughout. Selected spruce soundboards, precision-crafted action components, and durable cabinetry ensure decades of reliable performance.

The U3's action responds with precision across the full dynamic range, from delicate pianissimo passages to powerful fortissimo. This flexibility makes the instrument suitable for players of all levels.
Timeless Design:
The polished black cabinet with its classic proportions suits any environment. This circa 1976 example has clearly been well maintained and continues to deliver the performance that has given the U3 its reputation.
