Description

Yamaha CLP635 Clavinova Digital Piano; Polished Ebony

Yamaha’s CLP635 is the first piano in the range to feature the popular left-located full control panel with bright 128 x 64 dot LCD display. This new model adds Virtual Resonance Modeling (VRM), which enables the player to to give a performance with vivid and richly-varied expression.

Piano Sounds

The CLP635 includes the choice of two concert grand piano voices which are ideal for different styles of performance. The Yamaha CFX sound is the brighter of the two piano sounds, and the Bosendorfer voice is is perfect for situations where a more mellow, romantic European tone is required. There is also a high quality upright piano sound derived from Yamaha’s flagship SU7 upright piano.

Yamaha CLP635 Keyboard Action

The GH3x (graded Hammer 3x) keyboard action is fitted with synthetic ebony and ivory keytops for a life-like piano feel, and the simulated escapement mechanism replicates that found on an acoustic grand piano.

Additional Voices

The CLP635 features a total of 36 different voices at your disposal, including acoustic pianos, electric pianos, harpsichord, organs (classical and jazz), strings, choir and other useful keyboard instrumental sounds. It is possible to layer two voices together, and also split the keyboard wherever you like, to play two different sounds at each end of the keyboard.

Metronome & On-Board Recording

As well as the on-board metronome, there are 20 drum rhythms to make practice a little more fun, and the 16 track recorder allows composition of complex orchestrations with in the piano - without the need for connection to an external computer or tablet device.

The USB audio player / recorder gives you the ability to record your performance to uncompressed .WAV format. This makes it simple to share your music with friends & family, or even upload it to an internet music sharing platform. Audio recordings are stored on a USB memory stick (not included).

The CLP635 is fitted with an ample 30w x 2 amplification system, which is delivered through two 16cm speakers. Twin headphone jacks allow to people to practice without disturbing others in the household.

What Is Virtual Resonance Modelling?

The sound of a grand piano resonates throughout the body of the instrument, providing a rich reverberation that surrounds the listener in sound. This natural reverberation is replicated perfectly in the CLP635 Clavinova through Virtual Resonance Modeling (VRM), which calculates the various states of the strings for each of the 88 notes on the keyboard from one instant to next. This allows for the vivid, richly-varied expression that reflects the limitless number of factors inherent in playing the piano.

Duplex scaling technology also enhances the resonance of the upper octave, and adds both brightness and body to the character of the high registers. Duplex scaling is found on high quality acoustic grand pianos, and the new Yamaha CLP600 series is the first digital piano range to emulate this important feature.

A Choice Of Colour Options

The CLP635 is available in a choice of satin colours including Black Walnut, Rosewood, White, and new for this range - Dark Walnut. If you want the true acoustic piano look, then you will be pleased to hear the CLP635 is also available in the popular high gloss Polished Ebony finish. The music rest features small clips for holding sheet music and books in place.

Finance Options

Start owning the musical instrument you want now, today!

If you're set on buying your new instrument, there's no need to get weighed down by the total cost of it straight away. How To Apply For Finance

How it works

The finance options available are displayed on the individual product pages.

Finance is available for selected new and used instruments.

Please note that the lender is unable to discuss this over the telephone due to Data Protection rules. "Dynamic I" 162 Grand Piano 10 Years Warranty (when you register your purchase with Feurich) Free delivery (Ground floor, England only) Tuned, voiced & regulated before delivery First in-home tuning free of charge Piano has been voiced by German Piano Technician Carsten Shultz Expertly Tuned, Regulated & Voiced Before Delivery All Feurich pianos that are supplied by Bonners include detailed regulation and voicing by our in-house piano technicians including Carsten Shulz.Bonners are the largest stockist of Feurich pianos in the UK and we hold multiple examples of each model in our Surrey based piano warehouse & showrooms. This means you usually have multiple choice of the same model from which to choose your perfect Feurich piano. Before our Feurich pianos make it to the showroom, they go through a detailed preparation process to ensure they are sounding and performing at their absolute best. After being given time to settle after transportation to our premises, every Feurich piano undergoes a first regulation and tuning. This process ensures that all the mechanical parts are functioning correctly before the instrument is played passed to our in-house pianists for their evaluation. Our musicians put the piano through its paces using a wide variety of musical styles and then collaborate with our specialist Feurich-trained piano technicians who then carry out detailed voicing and regulation to maximise the tone and performance of the piano. This preparation process is unique to Bonners in the UK, and we are confident that our Feurich pianos out-perform the same models available from other piano retailers. Feurich was founded in 1851, and became the first German piano manufacturer to use under-damper actions in upright pianos, long before its rivals. Wendl & Lung have been working with Feurich since 2010, and the partnership's motto is "Tradition & Innovation". Unlike other manufacturers all components of the piano action are designed and assembled personally by Feurich, with their experts individually monitoring each other during the entire process. Bonners hold stock of a wide range of Feurich Upright and Grand Pianos in our two piano shops. We have piano shops in Reigate Surrey and Eastbourne East Sussex. Both stores have on-site parking and are the perfect place to come and try Feurich Pianos. Feurich 162 Piano Dimensions Width 1500mm Height 1020mm Depth 1620mm The 162 model is the most compact grand piano within the Feurich range, so is ideal for use in smaller spaces. It has been redeveloped and improved throughout the last 11 years, and as such has an outstanding sound for a piano of its size. Soundboard The overall width of the 162 is slightly wider than that on other similarly sized pianos. This maximises the surface area of the soundboard, enhancing the bass register along with the overall sound. The soundboard is made from spruce, and includes extra features designed to improve climatic stability. Frame Design The 162 model features a redesigned, light frame design. This is to allow less sound absorption, which is particularly noticeable in the treble register, generating brilliance and a clear sound. Strings The strings for this particular model were designed by Stephen Paulello, and are rust free! They are nickel plated, creating a stable and pure tone for many years to come. Duplex Scaling The strings on this model use duplex scaling, which means the strings resonate sympathetically with each note struck, adding brilliance and sparkle in the treble regions. Key Action The special Feurich key action sets this piano apart from other pianos of its size. No plastic is used in any part of the action, as this is not elastic enough to provide the feel and touch response Feurich are seeking. There is a low amount of lead weight used inside the key itself, resulting in a very low inertia when the key is struck. This gives a great dynamic range, including effortless pianissimo. Felt Feurich spend a great deal of time and thought on the felts they choose in each specific model. In the 162 model, the felts under the keys are soaked in a substance which serves to help retain their shape over many years of use. Felts inside the action are both durable and elastic. Other Features LED anti-glare lamp built in to the piano Traditional music stand to allow optimum sound Special Feurich design of pedals, sloped slightly towards the player. Layered lacquered surface, so small scratched are easily polished over Also available in Polished Black finish with Chrome Fittings and Polished White finish with Chrome FittingsThis model is also available with the harmonic pedal, which you can see here See The Feurich 162 Grand Piano In Our Specialist Piano Store When choosing a new piano, there's nothing better than getting your hands on various instruments to ensure you're making the right choice.
