Description

Yamaha NU1x Avantgrand Hybrid Digital Piano; Polished White

The true touch of a Yamaha acoustic upright piano, with all the convenience of digital, makes the NU1x a popular choice. No tuning required, and silent practice through headphones without compromising the keyboard feel means this piano is ideal for those who want the best of both worlds.

Tony White - Bonners Piano Specialist

This is our very best and most luxurious Yamaha AvantGrand accessory package, and is exclusively available for the beautiful polished cabinet finishes only. The AvantGrand NU1x concert package includes a superb button-top, genuine leather concert piano stool. This is the type of stool that you would see on a concert stage in front of a grand piano, but it looks just as amazing in your home with a polished ebony hybrid piano. We also include the upgraded Yamaha HPH150 headphones which are designed to work with Yamaha electronic musical instrument and have increased frequency response to give a fuller sound, and are ideal for prolonged periods of piano playing.

The Yamaha NU1x is a digital piano that brings together the high quality piano keyboard action of an acoustic upright piano with the convenient features of a digital piano. The player experiences the feel of playing an acoustic piano, but has a choice of piano and other tones, headphone practice capability, USB audio recording capability and of course the overall physical weight of the instrument is about 50% lighter than that of the smallest upright pianos, making it much easier to move from room to room, or home to home if required.

You can see and try the Yamaha NU1x in our piano showrooms. We have two stores in the South East of England - one is in Reigate, Surrey (located just off junction 8 of the M25 motorway), and the other is in Eastbourne on the south coast of Sussex. Both of our stores are within walking distance of mainline railway stations, and both have plenty of on-site parking. Call us today on 01323 639335 to ensure the NU1x has arrived in the showroom of your choice.

Part Exchange Your Existing Piano For A New NU1x

If you already own an instrument that you would like to part exchange for a Yamaha NU1x then email us details of what you have to partex@bonnersmusic.co.uk. It would help if you could attach some photos to the email, and in the case of acoustic pianos, we also require the serial number. Our part exchange process makes upgrading your piano an easy experience - we deliver your new NU1x and collect your old instrument at the same time. Call us on 01323 639335 if you need any more information about our MU1x part exchange offers.

Authentic Acoustic Piano Type Keyboard Action

The key action found in the Yamaha NU1x utilises many of the same components found in an acoustic piano. The full length wooden keys engage a hammer mechanism, resulting in the same weight and feel as when playing a traditional upright piano. This design results in the player feeling a true connection between their expression and the response of the instrument.

World Class Concert Grand Piano Sounds

The NU1x produces authentic recreations of two World-class concert grand pianos. The Yamaha CFX sound is renowned for it’s beautifully clear top and powerful bass registers. The subtle tone of the Boesendorfer Imperial is ideal for when a more delicate, mellow piano sound is required. Quite simply, the NU1x is capable of producing a concert level performance of any musical style or genre.

Pedals That Respond Just Like A Grand Piano

The damper pedal in the NU1x offers the same subtle changes in resistance that are experienced when playing a grand piano. Half-pedalling is also possible which gives the player the ability to control the sustain and reverberation in detail.

If you are serious about your piano playing, the NU1x is ideal to take you up to grade 8 standard and beyond.

Enhanced Headphone Experience

For many people, one of the attraction for purchasing a digital piano is the ability to practice silently through headphones. The NU!x ensures that the experience when playing in headphone mode is just as enjoyable as through the instrument’s own speaker system with the use of Binaural sampling technology, This technology gives the player a surround-sound like experience through normal headphones. Binaural sampling is only available on the CFX piano voice. All other voices are reproduced using standard headphone technology.

Additional Instrument Voices

The NU1x provides a total of 15 instrument voices ranging from acoustic pianos and electronic pianos to harpsichord, organs and string voices. The voices included are as follows: CFX Grand, Binaural CFX Grand, Bösendorfer Imperial, Studio Grand, Ballad Grand, Upright Piano, Stage E.Piano, DX E.Piano, Vintage E.Piano, Harpsichord 8’, Harpsi. 8’+4’, Celesta, Organ Principal, Organ Tutti, Jazz Organ, Piano + Strings

Record Your Performance

Nothing beats the satisfaction listening back to your own musical performances. The Yamaha NU1x allows the recording of up to 10 songs using the built-in quick record facility in standard MIDI file format. For the times when you want to share your own music with friends & family, there is the USB Audio record feature, which records the audio output of the NU1x in .WAV format (44.1 kHz, 16 bit, stereo). These files can be shared using a USB memory stick in a format which is readable by almost all computers and MP3 type players.

Built-In Preset Songs

The NU1x is supplied with 50 built-in favourite classical songs to show off the wonderful sound of this instrument.

High Quality Amplification System

The sound of the NU1x is delivered using a powerful 90 watt amplification system that drives 4 speakers. Even at low volume, the NU1x has a rich tone and the speaker positioning within the cabinet ensures the player is immersed in the sound.

Connect To The Outside World!

As well as two headphone outputs (for duet or teacher/pupil practice), the NU1x provides stereo AUX outputs via dual standard ¼” jack sockets. There is a 3.5mm stereo mini jack input for playback of external music devices through the NU1x’s speaker system. MIDI in/out is provided with 5 pin din sockets, and there is a direct USB connection to computer. It is also possible to connect a USB memory stick for playback & recording of audio & MIDI files.

Traditional Mini Upright Piano Cabinet Design

To the untrained eye, the NU1x looks like a traditional upright piano. With the front leg design and soft-fall keycover, this piano is pleasing on the eye and sounds superb. There is a nice long music rest for even the largest scores.

Other Useful Features

There is a digital metronome built into the NU1x and the transpose feature allows the pitch to be adjusted for when playing with other instrumentalists or singers. The adjustable reverb effect gives the effect of playing in a large hall or other ambient space.

Finance Options

Start owning the musical instrument you want now, today!

If you're set on buying your new instrument, there's no need to get weighed down by the total cost of it straight away. If you break it down into monthly payments over time, it's much more manageable than you might think. And our fixed interest rates mean you'll know exactly what you're paying from the start.

How To Apply For Finance

How it works

The finance options available are displayed on the individual product pages.

Pay a fixed deposit, depending on the price of the purchase. The rest is split into monthly payments up to three years. At the end of your contract when you've made your final payment, the instrument or equipment is all yours. You could own that dream guitar, drum kit or piano sooner than you thought!

Finance is available for selected new and used instruments.

Which Finance Options Are Available?

Most products on our website show the available finance options. Some are interest free, and some are interest bearing. The options shown on the site are an example of what is available - if you would like to pay over a different period, give us a call on 01323 639335 and we’ll try and arrange a finance option that suits your budget.

You can apply for finance online, or over the telephone - call us on 01323 639335 if you'd like to speak to one of our musical instrument experts.

All finance is subject to acceptance by our finance provider and a credit check will be carried out on the applicant.

We have two piano shops - Reigate Surrey and Eastbourne East Sussex where you can see and try the largest selection of digital pianos under one roof to ensure you're making the right decision when purchasing. LX708 Keyboard Feel The LX708 is equipped with a new Roland Hybrid Keyboard Action which has a longer key than previous models. This means that the pivot point is further back, giving more control to the player when performing both Pianissimo (soft) and Forte (loud) passages. The key action on the LX708 is constructed of both natural wood and synthetic parts to give both durability and accurate key touch. Haptic Key VIbration across the entire 88 key range reproduces the natural vibrations that are felt when playing an acoustic grand piano - this makes the player feel more 'connected' to the instrument. PureAcoustic Piano Sound Modelling Technology New for the LX700 range, Roland have introduces two unique piano sounds - European & American. The European sound is rounded and delicate, whilst the American tone is full-bodied and bright (but not too bright!). The piano tones offer limitless polyphony - so you won't suffer notes cutting off even when playing large chords & fast passages with full sustain pedal. There are ample variations on each of the piano sounds for playing different styles of music, as well as a choice of over 300 other voices including e.pianos, organs, strings, synths and more to inspire your musical creativity. 8 Channel Speaker System The LX708 is a luxury instrument, aimed at the discerning pianist who wants the very best quality digital instrument - whether playing on headphones or through the built-in eight-speaker system. The LX708 has two 25cm woofer speakers housed in their own speaker box within the cabinet. These provide the main 'body' of the sound. Accompanying these are two nearfield speakers (12cm x 8cm) - again in their own box, and four spatial speakers for added acoustic ambience. The total rated power output is 74w and this really does sound fantastic. The cabinet design allows the sound to be projected into the room like no other digital piano on the market, and the inclusion of speaker boxes inside the LX708's cabinet has given Roland complete control over the resulting sound quality. Other Convenient Features Features which have now become 'standard' on Roland pianos are all present, including Bluetooth audio, Twin Piano mode, metronome, onboard recorder and the option to use headphones to play in private.
